From Taycan to BMW i5 - Honest Opinion

You can get an eDrive40 in AWD now. That's not what I said though. Not "a" more powerful car, but *specifically* the i5. The price uplift from a 4S to a GTS in my spec was much smaller than from an i5 eDrive40 to an i5 M60. Cheaper than what? "eDrive" is RWD. You can get a 4WD version of...

From Taycan to BMW i5 - Honest Opinion

I own a Taycan GTS ST, and I've got a new i5 eDrive40 M Sport Pro coming within the next two months, so I'll be able to compare them both side-by-side during ownership. I test drove the i5 eDrive40 a few months ago and I was very impressed by the ride quality and the performance. Why anybody...

Private plates - cheesy or cool?

I didn't know this. Can you point me to a link to check my car? Thanks!

Turbo logo in rear headrests only

I guess this a Turbo-centric feature because they're standard? On my first Taycan, a RWD, I specced the Porsche crest on the front headrests only.

    Taycan Values.

I assume you mean the EQE SUV and not the EQE Saloon?

    Taycan Values.

Thanks for providing this. I don't speak Dutch but Google Translate is very good nowadays.

    Taycan Values.

Any idea what it costs to extend the warranty on a Taycan in the NL? Mine isn't due to expire until July 2025, but I have no idea what they ask.

    Model 3 Highland or Secondhand Taycan ST/CT 4S ?

The only government incentives that apply to the Taycan are for company cars, and I assume they would apply to the Tesla also. Either way, the Taycan is certainly far from one of cheapest cars you can buy in the UK.

    Model 3 Highland or Secondhand Taycan ST/CT 4S ?

But I'm not, so no idea what relevance your post has. Seeing as this is the "UK Forum", and the OP is in the UK, I'm not sure what relevance the charging situation is on the east or west coasts of the U.S. But, otherwise, cracking post mate.

    Pothole 1, Taycan 0..

I hope you're going to claim for the damage from the council or National Highways if on a strategic road?

    Range at full charge

My latest charge predicted 272 km at 100%, which is 169 miles. This doesn't concern me because it's based on cruising up the A1 on Christmas Day evening at an indicated 135km/h (84 mph). However, I can confirm that a GTS ST with 21" RS Spyder rims uses significantly more energy than a base...

    Navigation Map in Instrument Cluster

Maybe it's different for U.S. spec cars, but it works for me while driving.

    Model 3 Highland or Secondhand Taycan ST/CT 4S ?

    As a car/driving enthusiast, I can't imagine ever choosing a Tesla over a Taycan.

    Navigation Map in Instrument Cluster

Yes, it's possible. Can't remember off the top of my head. I'd have to be sat in the car. I think you push down on the scroll wheel to open the options menu.

    Range

Range isn't really as important as charging speed, accessibility to charging, or the price per kWh.

No. Only "March 24", as per IONITY's own press release a couple of weeks ago.

Best insurance quotes in the UK?

It does seem to be a UK thing. My Taycan GTS increased by €0.03 at renewal.

    Charging card help

I 95% use IONITY, and when I use them I do so with Plug&Charge. But I've used Fastned a few times and it worked fine with the Porsche Charging card.

    Ionity's Big UK Expansion

Yes, although bit of a difference between the two groups. Valary has 3 hotels compared to the 33 of Village.

    Ionity's Big UK Expansion

The official IONITY account on Facebook. I despise Facebook, but unfortunately they seem to be much more active on there with news updates than Twitter.
