It was extremely hit or miss when I first got my car but they've made a lot of improvements to the network. It probably works 9/10 times for me right now and if there's an issue, it's usually with a specific station. Moving to another charger at the site usually works fine.
This happened to me also but the car fixed itself and regained connectivity when I plugged a level 2 charger into the driver's side (AC only) port. I noticed that I was unable to access the car from the Porsche app sometime in Oct and saw that I was missing data since 10/11. I drove it around...
It looks like they messed up and got some Ford charger pics mixed in. I'm not sure what this seller does but they have a bunch of Ford, Rivian, and Lucid chargers. It was a toss-up but one reason why I chose the Lucid was because it was a 40A charger. Most of the others are 30A. You can see in...
If anyone's interested, here's the listing for the Lucid charger I bought: https://www.ebay.com/itm/155508819527?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ncz_txedqww&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=Zjldz6izTpi&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
One note: The Lucid letters on the charger body light up when...
I did not want to use the Porsche charger that came with the car after reading the forums. I also didn't want to buy a charger off Amazon, so decided to buy a new OEM charger from ebay. I ended up buying a Lucid charger which has worked great but also considered the Rivian, Chevy, and Polestar...
Other than the wait for title, it was painless. My dealer didn't really care, I was pretty upfront about my plans. But I paid MSRP and was on the fence since my '22 wasn't ready for delivery until '23. When Porsche offered the rebate at the beginning of the year, that made me pull the trigger...
I've only used ACC on a long road trip since I don't have a daily commute but found it to be great. For those that want it to act like normal cruise control on occasion, doesn't using the pause/ resume feature accomplish that?
When traveling at high speeds, I increased the follow distance and...
If you're flexible with your stops and schedule, don't be afraid to deviate from your original plan. I used ABRP to come up with a plan, but then often refreshed it based on my current location and SoC. There're plenty of EA stations along the west coast so you have lots of options. If you hit a...
And since I'm lazy and don't feel like making a new thread... For anyone wondering if a CT/ST is a must for mountain biking, the answer is no. Bike bag fits just fine with rear seats folded down in the sedan (you have 34 inches between the interior wheel arches.
Here's what your front bumper will probably look like at the end of your trip. I decided not to install PPF but if you are going that route, you might want to install some temp film or race tape
I just finished a road trip from Orange County -> Vegas -> Draper, UT -> Seattle -> Lake Tahoe -> back to SoCal, probably not the route you're taking but it was an easy drive with no issues. I only charged at EA stations, only drove in Sport, and drove quite rapidly.
Apps used:
- ABRP to plan...
I've noticed this happening a few times and now I'm paranoid about looking back to check once I'm about 15ft away from the car.
Not sure I'll bring it in just for this issue though... maybe later
I've been a fan of the company and the cars for a long time but still learned a few new things. Long video but kept my attention. Also, Doug DeMuro is pretty laid back in this video (for those that don't like the loud, excitable version of Doug).
In depth review of Porsche history
I bought out my lease after 1 payment and ended up saving ~$6500 after all fees. The only delay to keep in mind if you're going to do this is that PFS has to receive title from your state before it can complete the buyout and transfer title to you. There's an extra form I had to fill out for CA...
