You are correct with the headlights. I meant the Matrix version.
When I say I don't know what the PIRM thing does - whenever I plug in a destination to the navigation, I have it display alternative routes/modes (normal vs range). There is rarely any difference between the alternative...
I picked up my Taycan almost one year ago and have put on a little more than 8000 miles on it. I hope this is helpful to someone that has an allocation and is considering various options. Everyone has a unique situation on what they’re looking for and their prior automobiles have helped shape...
TXAG - Wow - didn't realize your noise came back. I'm glad it's been good so far with the new fix. Knock on wood, mine has been good.
EJM22 -- here's my service info. Very similar to the new fix for TXAG. HTH.
I had a similar problem. An occasional growling noise sounding like it was coming the chrono clock area.
Turns out my dealer identified it as a out of tolerance air conditioning compressor mounts. They replaced the mounts and haven't had a problem since!
I'm doing the PECLA delivery. When I called to schedule it, the PEC delivery coordinator said that my Taycan needed a software update (mine is a late July build). I assume this was happening at the port. Likely contributing to the delay
So here's an interesting update. According to TYD - "Production Completed - CP8.0" and my car is being prepped for transport. TYD still isn't showing a VIN and the delivery estimate hasn't been updated (Still Oct 7th)
So it would seem that they started building MY23. Don't have a VIN available yet...
Seems kinda strange that starting production to CP8 will take a month for me. (Doesn't it usually take about 2 weeks?)
Perhaps they'll start production, will take the break, come back and perform cp8, but 🤷♂️
I have a MY23 RWD allocation. For the longest time, TYD said start production Friday July 29th. Just checked again and TYD said in production now (started July 23). CP8 scheduled for August 26
I'm in the US
Have a build starting on July 29 with PEC LA delivery in mid October. No date changes (yet) on TYD.
That said, I thought that all car manufacturers have at least 2 suppliers for all components, to minimize disruptions to the supply chain.
