I waited almost 4 months to get a Porsche roof rack for my Taycan CT. I finally gave up after they announced a 3rd delivery delay and spoke to a local rack place about getting the Thule equivalent. They got me fitted right away, I LOVE it!
How did you reset it when the screens blank out? I have tried to with the 2 finger reset, but couldn’t get it to work when the screens are blanked out.
Me too. Mine is suffering from this, and has been at the dealership since June 1, waiting for the remedy. I wish there was even a workaround, but the 2 finger reset doesn’t appear to work when the screens blank out.
I have been experiencing exactly what the recall is for ever since I picked up my MY22 Taycan CT in mid April. My VIN just hit the recall list yesterday, but the dealer doesn’t have the SW yet, nor do they know when they will get it. All my screens blank out, including the dash, climate...
You are not alone! My MY22 Taycan CT has been riddled with these problems since I picked it up on April 21 2022. Sometimes all the screens will come on, sometimes none come on, phone won't connect, you name it. The dealer ignored me until I started to escalate.........now they acknowledge the...
I received my MY22 Taycan CT April 21, and have nothing but issues with the PCM. I finally took it to the dealership and got a loaner (but of course the loaner is a gas Macan).
Neither does mine, although my PCM version is 3615, which fits one of the versions listed in the recall. My Taycan CT has been at the dealership since June 1, and I told them I am not driving it again until it is fixed. I have had nothing but PCM problems since I got it in late April.
His GT3 is a 2018, and while it does have a touch screen, it isn’t of the same vintage of the PCMs I have seen with the application icons. It doesn’t have the same icon type GUI and while it doesn’t have the functionality of the newer PCM design, his works reliably. Mine is very hit and miss...
As I said in my initial response to the question about experiences with Tesla and Taycan, my husband (who owns and loves his Porsche GT3, and yes, I know that the GT3 is an ICE car) convinced me to get a Taycan. I also had friends who had owned Porsches for a long time suggest that if I wanted...
I also don’t quite understand your posting. I speak from experience with almost 4 years with a Tesla S. You sound quite insulting about Tesla owners, if I am understanding this. Oh well, I guess it takes all kinds.
In my experience, I wasn’t a beta tester with my Tesla. If there were issues, a SW release came out with all the release notes that fixed it within days. The Porsche people at the dealership keep telling me there isn’t a problem, that is until I sent them the link from the forum that describes...
Hi, I think you misunderstood my post. I LOVED my Tesla. My complaint is that the Taycan feels like I am a beta tester, with it not turning on sometimes, screens going blank, not coming up, CarPlay not connecting……….
How do you know when you get an update like that? I have only had notifications when the maps are updated. I am having huge issues with CarPlay, blank display screens, car not turning on, etc etc.
Thanks for providing some perspective, in that this isn’t an endemic problem, although there are a lot of forum entries with experiences like mine. Perhaps people without issues don’t post because they are out having fun driving their Taycans. I would rather sell at this point, my confidence...
If it were only the German nav search bar I might think it was just quirky whimsy. I listed a bunch of other things as well, like no display screens at all, and I didn’t mention that at times it refuses to turn on at all, which I will mention now. I absolutely do have the wrong car, I expected...
You got that right! Porsche wouldn’t know a SW bug if it came up and bit them! The service manager at the dealership said to bring my car in so they could reload the SW. I asked why reloading buggy SW would fix the problem. Still waiting for an answer on that one. If Porsche doesn’t “get”...
