That is just a screen filter change. Not the base PCM that is based on the Audi MIB v3 plattform.

Can find some more hardware information on the MIB v3 plattform in that link.
Time will tell :) I hope you are right and not me. The base MIB v3 system is still the same, it's mostly UX changes on the gen2 PCM. I hope we can get them on gen1 also since I like the changes.
PCM hardware for the refreshed Taycan is the same as gen1. It's more that Porsche wants differentiate gen1 and 2. So it seems like Gen 1 will not get the updates that gen2 has gotten. That sucks.
I have PPF on my CT4. Wrap guy said go nuts with the high preasure washer. Just don't use it close to fold/corners and so on where the wrap ends because they can get loose over time (would still be fixed under warranty). Just use common sense and you will be fine.
I have ProFilm clear PPF on my...
@tigerbalm mind if I ask why you took the ferry and drove to Narvik instead of taking the ferry to Lødingen and driving straight to Lofoten?
You can get winter tires in 21" but man do they kill the range...hehe

There is a new update they can apply. Just tell them you have problems with the PCM getting stuck on the Porsche logo.
If it's not there anymore there probably is a new update that supersede that one. I know there is a new PCM build out in the wild. Just keep your slot. They will do the updates that Porsche in Germany has told them to do.
Let's hope that Porsche brings the PCM changes in the facelift to the current model also. Seems like the boost button, bigger battery and some changes to the body is what's changes. There are also rumors that it will get the same active ride system that is on the new panamera.

Top gear Netherlands had taken a short drive in the new Taycan facelift. Launch of the facelift is not far away now.
Depends on your bodyshape also. I am a fat bastard and the 14 way is better for me then the 18 ways. 18 ways was not comfortable for me as a big guy. Got the 14 way with massage and heat/cooling. The 8 ways is a no no for me.
I do not get this negativity to OTA updates. If they issue an update it is because something needs to be fixed. If you think you know your car better then Porsche does then you should start an EV company because you can get rich fast.
Just because your car is working fine now does not mean that...
I didn't say noone has bricked their car after updates. But I would still say that it is worth it for fixes, new features and so one. Porsche is better then any of us to say if the car needs an update or not. If they release an update for the HV battery I would say that who am I to say that...
I have all the updates on my 23 CT4. Not bricked. So when they released an update to fix issues with charingcurves and temperature in the battery to keep the longevity of the battery. You will not install it? Do you not update your phone, computer and other electronics either? Your loss.
Why don't you want updates? OTA updates are great so they can fix potential issues with the car without you having to go to the dealer. I don't get it.
