I’m finding that most adhesives melt and let go under direct sun. Installer used 3M something (VHB?) to mount the camera. So maybe a good adhesive with velcro in between? When I hang my bug screens in my windows I find sometimes the velcro holds better than the adhesive and rips the adhesive off...

I might have just conflated the two things you can insulate. I think you’re right - this is noise reducing.

The insulated glass (sound and temperature) is not a tint - it doesn’t look different. When I ordered it was standard equipment on the Turbo.

that’s where it is. My phone has GPS though - and it’s also in the car, supposedly shielded by that same glass. So I’m just trying to find out if this could be the cause - or just one person’s idea.

Jumping into this thread 2 years later. Someone suggested on my recent post that this glass type may be the reason my GPS doesn’t work on my BlackVue dashcam. Anyone here have insulated glass and a working dashcam that shows GPS location of recordings? UPDATE: Solution found in the placement...
