Bumping up this thread. While the refresh/Gen "1.5" delivers on some important improvements the real excitement is obviously about the next generation of Taycan.

And 7.5p/kWh (using e.g. Intelligent Octopus smart charging) it is also pretty much free to charge, which over time makes a meaningful difference to running cost.
By way of comparison, filling up an R8 V10 twice/week costs you around GBP 850 per month.

I agree, the refresh changes are additive to Turbo S. For the rest of the line-up, the front now looks more similar to the current version with SportDesign package.

EQS is a completely different experience. Amazing suspension and comfortable, but nowhere near reactive and fun as Taycan.
Didn’t like the RAS on it either. Prob great for professional chauffeurs in a big city though:)
Without a shadow of doubt. Has ticked all the boxes for me i) very enjoyable as a daily driver ii) good looks + fairly practical and iii) versatility to go from a comfortable GT for long road trips to a reactive, fast sports car to enjoy on quirky countryside roads.

Had another EV that didn't really do it for me, and came across Taycan when researching alternatives.
Saw a few Porsche promotional videos as well as reviews, then test drove the 4S. Was immediately sold on it, so pulled the trigger a week later and haven't looked back since!
In UK the falling knife has a significant corporation tax incentive buffer (writing off depreciation, servicing, insurance cost, extended warranty, charging costs, you name it), but even with that I'd second that if this is a real concern then perhaps think twice before buying a Taycan.
