Do you get warm air somewhere? If you get only cold air everywhere, the heater is broken.
About the problem I had:
It did not happen when the car was in the garage. So they could not reproduce the problem.
They cleaned and lubricated the valves and vents.
It did not happen again since then.
Depreciation in Europe seems to be less than in US.
And it are mostly the high-end full option cars that take a big depreciation hit.
I bought my Taycan 3 years ago for 92000 euro. Today similar cars are sold for about 62000 euro. So I lost about 10000 euro per year. Maybe 12000 euro worst...
Luckily the charging network is growing strongly in Europe. If one day, all the Tesla superchargers would close, it wouldn't be a disaster. Altough the supercharging network is the most reliable and has the most chargers per station, nowadays there are plenty of other chargers of other brands...
Friendly remark: You are using the wrong units in your report. Mixing power and energy.
Power is in kiloWatt (kW), like the power of the motor, or the maximum power of a charging station.
Energy is in kiloWattHour (kWh) (equivalent to one thousend watt of power during one hour), like the...
A used Taycan is also fun. A base model is also fun.
I just depends on how much you want to pay for it. If depreciation is a big concern than buying second hand or buying a base Taycan makes a lot of sense.
But I agree with you that if you want really low depreciation, you shouldn't look at...
If you want a car with low deprecation: Don't buy a luxury sedan.
If you want a Taycan with low deprecation: Don't buy a new car. Buy a used Taycan.
If you want a new Taycan with low depreciation: Buy a base model with few options.
I bought a new base Taycan for 90 keuro. Current market value...
RWD Taycan is 0-100 km/h in 5.4s.
15% to 20% better on top of overboost means 0-100 km/h in around 4.5s ? Is that correct ?
That would be impressively fast for a rear only powered car.
I don't really understand what you mean. Can you elaborate a bit on the question ?
If you want to charge at a Tesla supercharger, isn't the only way to do that with the Tesla app ?
I thought the tesla superchargers didn't even have a card reader.
Happy to see they removed the launch control reduction on the RWD. On the new Taycan full power is available all the time.
It would be nice to get that as a software update on the pre-2024 models.
We are really spoiled in (northern) Europe with the charging infrastructure.
I just return from a skiing holiday. Drove through Germany. Only used Ionity. Never had to wait, always +150kw. Most of the time +200kw.
In fact, I drive electric for almost 4 years, I have never ever had to wait to...
At 16A or lower, it should not start the coolant pump.
My motorcycle can charge at 16A without any water cooling for a battery pack that is 5 times smaller.
The Taycan also has rather high charging loses. It seems to be always around 200Watt. Even if charging at 16A single phase.
I wonder how you can burn 200 watt of power in something that basically just has to convert 230V AC to 700V DC.
I can't speak about the ID.7, but it is clear that the Taycan drivetrains is very inefficient.
The Cw value is low, so we cannot blame bad aerodynamics.
Somehow the motor and invertor are not well engineered. Maybe it is the stupid 2-spead gearbox ?
Hopefully Porsche improves this for the new...
This is not really true yet.
The 2019 battery tech of the Taycan is still very much up to date today.
The batteries are still similar in size and the charging speed of the Taycan is still clearly above the general market.
The only drawback is the rather low efficiency of the Taycan. But that is...
Are you referring to the real weather ? Or was this figuratively (not sure if that word is correct English, I am not a native speaker) ?
Do you mean it is too cold ? Or too dark for solar electricity ?
Myself: I drive 'for free' 8 months a year, thanks to solar energy. During the winter months...
In general (not taycan or Porsche specific), there are typically issues with air suspension in the longer run. But I think all Turbo's have air suspension, so it isn't really an option.
I would avoid gimmicks that do not really add functionality but can break: like ambi-lights, ionizers or...
