They had it for about a week. Mostly waiting on the parts to arrive. I did notice when they reinstalled the charging door it wasn’t as flush as before. I’ll have them fix it next time I take it in.
Finally an update. The car is fixed. To make a long story short the left side charging port actuator was faulty. The effect was the red light and the car wasn’t charging.
My hypothesis is that the profile I had setup to pre-warm the car caused the error in the original image I posted. The...
Ok. Well was able to get the car to run, but now I’m getting the ‘red’ light on the charging port. I should be able to get it to the dealership at least. Stay tuned as I learn more.
Ok. I was able to get the hood open and jump the car “awake” again. I plugged my home wall charger back into the port. Right now it just says connection established but nothing else. I guess I just wait a few hours and see?
Thanks guys. I have several battery tender trickle chargers and a jump starter. I am afraid to using anything bc I don’t know if these are all just lithium chargers or do I need a special type of charger?
Also the manual has all these warnings saying ‘risk of damage when supplying external power...
I have a 5000 lb brick in my garage. I went down this morning and it said there was a charging error. Now the battery is completely dead. Tried to get it towed but they can’t get under the car enough to move it. Dealing with the dealership but they don’t know what to do either. I’ve seen...
The PlugShare app was great. Had I been able to charge while I was sleeping getting up North to the next fast charger would have made the trip back much more tolerable.
I saw a bunch of CHAdeMO 50kw chargers, but if you can buy an adaptor for those I didn’t have one.
After owning my Taycan for about a month now, I was looking forward to my first long range road trip down the Oregon coast. As a new EV owner some of the concepts on charging stations, kWh, etc. are new to me. I know the bigger the number the better (e.g. a 50kw station is slower than a 150kw)...
I agree, I would have preferred leather all the way across. I didn't know that was a tradeoff I was making at the time. Hopefully for the next set of customers this thread will at least help them make an informed decision. Someone with 2+1 seating on both 14 way and 18 way seats should post some...
I can’t get the photo to rotate unfortunately. Anyway you’ll see the digital display breaks up the black dash from the center console.
14 way seats work great IMO. The main reason I upgraded was for the seat memory.
I love the color. There actually is not much black inside the car. The seat backs are all limestone and the door panels only have the black trim across the top and a small stripe in the middle, the rest is limestone. The top dash is black leather. I had the seatbelts done in limestone as well...
I had it on my option sheet but later removed it after reading people saying it made the back seat not look as nice.
Now that I have my Taycan without it, I would have kept the 2+1 knowing what I know now. The center tray you get isn't particularly functional. The center head rest may be the...
Anyone know how to remove the 4 digit pin from the mobile connect charger in the garage. If I don’t remember to put it in every time when I plug the car in the garage it won’t charge. It’s a security precaution I’d rather not have.
Thanks
I just did the switch as well. A few notes that after the initial learning curve would have made things easier
1. On the 2nd light I didn’t remove the T20 screw on the liner, just the T20 screw holding the light in place. It was just as easy
2. To unclip the wire, slide the lens out enough so...
I had a friend who owns a Tesla tell me you should not recharge the battery daily. Is that bad info? I get the 85% issue, but is it damaging to recharge your batteries daily back up to 85%?
