I’ve a deposit down for the Macan EV and this is the other car that’s catching my attention, don’t see this as a competitor for the Taycan in any of its formats but an alternative to either the Macan or Cayenne then most definitely a rival and could very well have the edge.
This is probably the...
Residuals will be greater on the 4S because that is the most sought after model, though maybe that isn’t that much of a concern when you are paying this much on a motor.
It took me a while to learn to accept it, still don't love it but at least it doesn't bother me now. Plus when sat in it you don't see the front anymore. LOL
There is rumours that a proper M EV is closer than we think and it will have not two, not three but four electric motors. If true it will probably be the one to beat though will probably be Taycan GTS price.
I myself have a deposit down for one of the new Macan EVs and I see it's release date has moved from 2023 to now 2024. It makes me wonder is parts supplies right across the board is the problem for a lot of the delays.
I spoke to a customer who had a KIA on order and I think he said it was...
No doubt certain spec can delay cars but this is when the manufacturer should be relaying this info to the dealer so they can advise the customer if they want to change the spec or continue waiting.
With the Taycan I know it's all battery related rather than spec, at least some good news...
Spoke with the LR dealer and currently the maximum waiting time on a RRSport is 9 months, their orders of customer cars have started to filter in despite it's official release only just by there.
Maybe it's the demand in certain areas are putting lengthy waiting times on certain Brands and models?
At the moment the brother is that p1ssed with Porsche that he’s about to place an order for one of the new Range Rover Sport Hybrids.
I’ve told him to hold on but I think it’s the lack of info coming from Porsche to their dealers to pass on that’s so frustrating. If they get a set date when...
True but for those waiting it's a real kick in the teeth and frankly Porsche should be offering these customers a sweetener for the length of the wait which in the case of my brother has been more than 6 months from the original date quoted.
It have been hinted to me that Porsche are placing the batteries into the production line first before retro-fitting the batteries to the ones currently built but sitting in storage. If true this is absolutely awful practice and a total disrespect for those who ordered first and been waiting the...
The brother was told the opposite by his dealer that they would be charged if they took delivery but you don’t know who to trust because there’s zero information coming from either Porsche or the dealer.
Imagine if you had already sold your car or it’s lease was up, would Porsche leave you high...
I feel for the dealers that are receiving the cars minus the batteries because they are charged by Porsche for them but they can’t sell them to the customer and get that money back into their account.
Brother showed me a letter he received from Porsche to say his car is due a software update, even has a VIN number and everything. The funny thing is that he has yet to receive a delivery date. LOL
Before the brother ordered the Taycan 4S he was also considering the Audi too though just the regular model, I preferred the interior of the Audi way more than the Porsche but as a long time Audi owner over the years that was to be expected. Whilst I felt the interior quality of the two were on...
If it’s an itch that needs scratched then until that’s done you will always crave to own one. All my life I have craved a 911 but with a son in a wheelchair such a machine is completely impractical so I never scratched that itch.
I don’t disagree that Porsche will continue to be at the pinnacle of EV driving dynamics but I think it will be a bit easier for others to get closer and the early sign with the EV6GT is a very playful character which is something most spirited drivers look for.
Own a fair few so called exotic watches though never anything as expensive as an AP and yet the watches I regularly wear are unknown micro brands. Maybe I’m different from the norm and I ain’t the brand lover others are, for me the actual product accounts for about 60% of my decision, 25% it’s...
If you can see past the typical oriental style interior design the actual fit, finish and quality of materials used is very good indeed… ok some of the lower trim isn’t top class but all brands are guilty of this lately.
Though I already have a deposit down on the Macan EV I will probably go...
Couple of years ago I was on a search to replace my then 740d M/Sport and I wanted into something a bit more sporty yet luxurious so I considered the RS6 and the M5 Competition. Spent a weekend in each and ended up with the M5 purely on the discount I was able to get from the dealer, of the two...
