A quick question about Tesla chargers in the U.K. I was under the impression that there’s only a handful of test sites atm, is it now the case that it’s been expanded and Porsche get a discount?
Had my first service on 4S and there was no mention of drain holes, they carried out an update on the brakes and it’s sooo much better. I think it’s the actuator. Total cost was @£500
Me too, I sometimes wonder if people just make stuff up. Mine haven’t ‘scratched’ at all, there is the odd stone chip which is easily touched up, but the gloss black finish still looks like new 10,000 miles later. Why would the 21 inch Spyder wheel fare any better?
Can it be heard from outside to any great effect? I live on a lane and use it in an effort to warn the many walkers and cyclists, but the buggers still don’t get out of the way until I’m on top of them!
Absolutely agree, this should be a recall issue. I’ve owned a lot of Pork since the mid 1990’s and I think they’ve become progressively more cynical. Love the cars and my Taycan is almost up there with my 993, but these are troubling tales.
My car came on Eagles, it’s coped with some very low temps this winter and I’m not sure they’re any worse than any other summer tyre. As someone else mentioned, in the U.K. the bigger issue is cold and wet, I watched a tyre test during a PEC visit some years ago, the stopping distance was 15yds...
I have hardly had to use public chargers yet, but reading some posts on here is there a rule of thumb regarding pre heating. My assumption is that after 60 miles or so the battery will be warm enough without pre heating?
My local dealer has (or had) a lightly used 4S that they couldn’t shift. The salesman said he’d advise against speccing it, but if it’s what you want so what?
My tuppence worth; I’d always use a professional detailer before a dealer supplied option, might cost a little more but it’s all in the prep, there are plenty in the Midlands to choose from, Staffordshire Detailing in Walsall are very good.
I don’t know the numbers but would’ve thought EV’s are...
I remember hearing that too Frank, though I thought it was an engineer rather than a test driver, they also preferred the Cayenne on standard springs and skinny tyres. I agree with you on AWD, though I can’t discern the extra weight in my 4S, it’s a heavy lump to start with. I’d really like to...
I was told this when I commented on how many were sitting on my local dealers forecourt, hadn’t realised there were some new one’s available, are they still fetching a premium?
I don’t think Richard had gold missions on his, pretty sure he unwrapped it to sell it on. Looking forward to seeing the finished result, ironic is an odd clue, maybe done up like a Stradali?
I know that Tesla have opened a few sites up to other brands, is the Brum dealer one of them or is it the case that anyone can charge at a dealership? I’ve managed to get by with Ionity and Porsche dealers so far, getting the discount, good advice on here re signing up to shell, POD etc.
I get...
People ask for opinions on here all the time, what colour, wheels, spec, model and so on. A forum is an exchange of ideas and views, to suggest there’s no place for opinion is to fundamentally misunderstand the very essence of a forum. Do they have Haynes manuals in the US?
I found the guessometer to be pretty accurate overall, but set off on a very cold and foggy morning last week and saw range drop from 177 to 154 within the first 3 miles, I was concerned as I’d got a 110 mile round trip no ahead of me. When I got home the range was showing 66 miles, which...
I lost a few settings unexpectedly, including the door locking, home address on nav, seat settings and favourite radio stations. I think it may have had something to do with the My Porsche app, but once I reset everything things have been fine. Car goes in for the update next week and I’m...
