  1. Public charging in france

Not really a problem; turned the cameras on and used the curb side view along with the overhead view.
  2. Voda tracker issue

Best thing to do to resolve this is to use an insurer that does not require PVTS. Saves £260+/year subscription and you no longer need to carry the tracker fobs.
  3. Public charging in france

Single deck LeShuttle seems to be the default for Taycans these days. I travelled on Good Friday which was a LeShuttle peak day. It was total chaos with long wait times to board. Somehow I ended up on a double deck narrow carriage, and it was much more difficult to load...
  4. Public charging in france

That more easterly route on the ABRP map (that only uses Ionity) was the route I mentioned earlier that was very slow and busy. The central route on the map was the much quicker route I used on the return journey that uses the FastNed charger near Rouen.
  5. Public charging in france

On my recent trip, most charge stations in France were empty. I did have some problems with connexion failures at some individual Ionity chargers, but moving to a different charger always resulted in success.
  6. Public charging in france

Just got back from a week near Cognac. Exclusively used Ionity on the outbound journey which resulted in a very poor route involving lorry packed D roads between Rouen and Le Mans. On the return journey, I used the FastNed at Aire de Bosgouet Sud. This was the best charging session of the trip...
  7. Innodrive challenging?

I optioned Innodrive on my earlier 2019 Cayenne E-hybrid. It certainly improves ALK by using detailed mapping data for certain roads (most primary route in the UK). However, I found the auto-speed adjustment much too unreliable and sometimes quite disconcerting. For example, one of my local...
  8. Gap insurance

I believe that the remaining few companies have agreed to suspend sales of GAP insurance, so it’s likely unavailable for the moment. https://cardealermagazine.co.uk/publish/fca-now-asks-every-gap-insurance-provider-to-pull-product-from-market/298555
  9. Newbie Home Charging Issue (UK)

Yes, that’s how OVO Charge Anytime billing works - you get a credit the following month.
  10. Newbie Home Charging Issue (UK)

I charge my Taycan using OVO Charge Anytime. I’ve adjusted the ready time setting in the app to various different times during the day, plugged the car in and have always charged at the low rate (when Porsche servers are working). I don't recall what the contract states about charging at the low...
  11. My Taycan 4s is faster than advertised

Generally speak, most on-board car speedometers display higher than actual speed. They can over read by up to 10% depending on prevailing legislation. I’ve not checked the accuracy of the Taycan speedometer, but did you check the speed with something with known accuracy?
  12. Newbie Home Charging Issue (UK)

There are currently a few dozen open Tesla charger sites. Be carful with these as most have very short charging cables that are difficult to use with a Taycan.
  13. Porsche Experience Silverstone, any experience you can share??

You’ll likely get more useful information about how the car behaves if it is raining
  14. That 2025 facelift

Not doing it for me either. Such a shame that they decided to put the crease on the inside of the front wings (like they did on the 718). I much prefer the curves of the current model (and 992 etc) and it will certainly spoil the view out front.
  15. Alarm fob battery

    as above. looks like this.
  16. Tracker shenanigans

I think there are a number of interesting edge cases with the Vodafone tracker. I think having the regular key in the car just after parking and then having the tracker fob leave the car is one of those cases. i have been caught out by a similar edge case. I’ve arrived home and then exited...
  17. Recall WPS9 -- Does anyone know what this does and why?

My RWD was in PRG Reading, UK getting the APB2 (Check high-voltage battery) and WPN8 (Re-programming central computer (PCM)) recall work yesterday and was also flagged for WPS9 - Re-programming thermal management control unit. All three were completed but my service tech had no additional...
  18. Newbie - any home charger recommendations?

The S&P I have is untethered. However, you can lock the cable to the EVSE via their app. It keeps the lock pin engaged in the EVSE/cable even when the car end of the cable is unplugged or the car is not charging. I think untethered EVSEs are better because you can easily replace the cable when...
  19. Newbie - any home charger recommendations?

I use an S&P Home7Plus EVSE with OVO Anytime connecting directly to the car. This relies on connectivity between OVO Anytime and Porsche servers and the car. Such connectivity is notorious for being somewhat flakey. I’ve had instances where the car has not charged at all by the required time...
  20. Tracker key fob battery life

Tracker fob (PVTS) or regular key? My tracker fob remains functional after 9 months and is kept within 4 meters of the car. Same place I previously kept the tracker fob for my Cayenne. It used to last around a year to 15 months. Regular key is kept in a faraday box elsewhere and lasts a bit...
