The plaid to Taycan comparison hasn't been covered much on this forum (that I've seen). Thanks for your thoughts.
A good friend of mine has a plaid and I have driven it. My summary was "2 cars that are exactly the same, only totally different."
After we chased each through the mountains like a...
Or do what I did...
Drink a bottle of wine, play around on the configurator until goosebumps appear, submit to dealer and keep drinking wine until the car appears.
Zero regrets.
Judging by the other cars you own, you like style and drivability. In my opinion it's a no-brainer, Taycan all day, everyday. The 2 cars are not even comparable when it comes to looks/style and ride quality.
The Taycan does have its draw backs but those don't seem to be an issue for you.
I have to agree.
My preferred mode is sport, low chassis, no regen, no sound. So I set that in the individual mode but every time I begin the drive I have to run through sport and sport+ mode on the chrono dial. Very annoying cuz the regen kicks on in sport mode (then off), then the sound kicks...
The 'Mile High Club' I'm referring to is much more exciting than driving through Denver, which can be exciting but for all the wrong reasons. Normally, an airplane and a partner are needed and if you have BTDT... much respect🙏
I reckon you could do it in a Taycan, driving through Denver but...
No worries, I'm not easily offended. Good try though.
For people that are not on vacation, that would rather read a 60page ins doc looking for ambiguous language on what is considered glass and what isn't than ask the expert, that didn't drop out of school in the 7th grade... then yes, you make...
Of course.
Being that it's Saturday and he's probably drunk on a golf course, I didn't expect much more. He will verify on Monday and confirm with me, if is otherwise I will correct my post.
Quote straight from my insurance agent (who also is one of my best friends, hence informality):
"Pretty sure you have a zero comp which means pretty much everything other than a collision is covered at no cost, vandalism, hail or windows."
So there may be options that do cover it.
If you don't mind me asking: do you have glass coverage through your insurance comp?
I do and it's been amazing. Complete windshields replacement at no cost except the deductible ($10 a month (I think)) but I've never considered if it would cover the glass roof as well. I think I'll check...
Somewhat similar experience, although I didn't get the snail symbol.
The car would barely accelerate, all other functions were ok. After a few miles of this, I was able to get it home. My SA told me to lock the car for about 15min and try it again. That was about 6 months ago and it has never...
1984, I was 6 and was riding in the back of this beautiful 🤢 ancestor to the CT.
We were on our way to Mt Rushmore and my Mum (not smoking or drinking) was driving when she hit a deer. I flew from the rear of the car and landed (upside down) on the floor in between the legs of her friend in the...
If it was still the 1980's you could get the CT and throw all of them in the back with some sodas and coloring books. All while smoking a heater and drinking a beer while you drive.
Our parents had it good.
Understated/subtle colors on an overstated/eye-popping car. Flashy colors on this car is like a naturally beautiful woman putting too much makeup on. IMO
As I was writing this (waiting in line for my kid to get out of school) a guy knocked on my window to compliment on how good my car looked...
