Wow I had no idea how cheap my electricity is in SC. I pay $0.11/kwh off peak (17 hours a day is off peak-actual times change dependent on season) and $0.25/kwh on peak (never had to charge on peak hours). So 93 kw battery x 11 cents /kwh is $10.23 for a full charge. Conservative range of 215...
The Taycan is my wife’s car and the car that we take when we go somewhere together. The lightning is mine. This is my fourth F150, but first electric truck. it’s a lariat model, which is not quite top-of-the-line but close. Sticker price was about $500 below the $80,000 threshold so I was able...
Your concerns would be valid if they were multiple people operating chargers. Being as it’s just me that does the plugging and unplugging I feel confident that I can manage. So I’m gonna do me :-).
I only have 200 amp service at the house. I am going to put the ford evse on the same circuit (100 amp) as the PWCC. Obviously I won’t be able to use them simultaneously but that wont be a big deal. Taycan only gets driven about 800 miles per month so one charge per week +/-. My lightning has...
If it does I’m not aware of it! I use Porsche connect. When I charge the lightning the Ford app calls the PWCC “unknown AC charger” and Porsche connect doesn’t acknowledge or monitor the Ford charging. I have an extended range Lariat lightning which includes a free Ford Pro 80 amp evse which is...
Guess I’m in the minority but I love my PWCC. I just plugged the Taycan in at 34% and it will be at 85% in less than three hours At 18kwh. Plus my F150 lightning loves it.
OK thanks. I am hopeful! I did find a member of the F150 lightning forum who has a Ticon and lightning. Waiting to hear what he has to say. Will report back.
I have a Lightning on order(no idea when I will get it). Wondering if anyone has real world info on whether my PWCC will charge it? I have it on a 100 amp circuit so it is charging at 80a which is the same rate as the charger that comes with the Lightning.
