To summarize, will it be ok for the 12v battery if install a blackvue dashcam with a power magic pro that is set to 12.0V cutoff with a timer set to 6h of work? This was my typical setup on my previous cars (hybrid bmw) and I haven’t had any problems for the past couple of years.
Question - I can’t seem to figure out how to see list of my fav songs in Spotify on the instrument cluster. Also choosing that on the pcm is not convenient either - you have to always go through ton of buttons to reach that. Is the integration that bad? On my prev bmw, I could easily...
I think the votes would be different if the setting remained. Changing it to on or switch to individual each time one starts the car is annoying (even with the sport chrono)
Hehe. Facts are different. Look here -
taycan sport saloon: turning circle without RAS - 11.7m, with RAS - 11.2m.
bmw x5 g05: without RAS - 12.6m, with RAS - ~11.6m.
It’s way more noticeable on a parking lot on X5 than on taycan :) that’s why I said I felt like it has one In terms of handling...
My BMW X5 g05 had a rear axel steering option and I really liked that. However, when I test drove Cayenne which didn’t had one (and a taycan as well), I was amazed how great those cars handle. It really resembled me RAS, but they didn’t have that. The only option they had is a power steering...
Battery, ACC, blind spot assist, panoramic roof, extended leather, bose, surround view (I’d also add comfort access)
And only then all the other fancy options come. I find it ridiculous when a car has rear steering wheels, but doesn’t have such a basic option as the surround view
Wow! That’s awesome! Mind to share which module requires coding? Maybe you still have instructions? I’d appreciate if you can share that.
that’s done through VCDS as Porsche shares sw with audi, right?
Because it’s only BMW (maybe others, but I haven’t heard about them) that has close/open on walk away/approach. Taycan can only open the car when approaching, but you have to touch a door handle to close it. On my previous BMW X5 it worked perfectly.
That’s what I’m saying - you either have to touch a door handle or use a key fob to lock the car. Otherwise, you’d be able to just press a button that would close the trunk and lock the car. Thanks!
The button costs about 50 euros. I was checking parts catalog and the harness is the same with factory installed harness and without that. I still need to check ECU models and if they are the same, it’s just a matter of changing a button.
Nevertheless.. let’s say you parked near your house. And you have some stuff you need to grab from the trunk. How do you close the car? In my previous car, I could just press a button to close the trunk and close the car. How is it in your case if there is no such a button? I’m in a process of...
I guess you have a button in your rear lid that doesn’t allow to close the lid + close the car, right? Do you still need to touch a door handle to close the car? Or did you change the button to have a “close car” feature as well?
So it’s already available. Did anybody try that? What’s about the rear lid’s button? It looks like harness is the same and it’s just matter of swapping switches
Hi all!
Does anybody have information and photos of how standard Interior led look like? I found a great slightly used taycan with options I want, but it doesn’t have ambient lighting package. I wonder if there are any visible lighting when you drive at night?
Meh. This is in ideal lab conditions. If 25khw/100km, then the battery must be 175 kw… or if the battery is 100kwh, then the consumption must be 14kwh/100km. Unrealistic unless they are able to dramatically reduce weight
That’s why I’m asking :) I found this thread and started to wonder. Seems like I can only get an answer to this question by trying another Taycan. Though, I drove one 4S 1 year ago and I can’t remember this humming noise. I had a 6 hour journey back then with the 4S.
Unfortunately, it’s not a...
