I've done 1%!
And my understanding for J1.1 is that even 0% has a little bit of a buffer.
More range would help for winter.
Although for this past ski season, with the MB station in St J VT and Ionna in Brattleboro VT, reliable speeds in the mid 200s means that by the time I return from using...
Yipes -- I always thought (mistakenly apparently) that figure for remaining miles was the G part, and the SoC% reasonably accurate.
I've had SoC% bounce around for other devices, but I've never had it go up for either my Taycan or i4.
And I can't multiple mi/kWh by my usable battery size to...
I drove that same loop again yesterday, nearly identical temperatures and speeds, with an additional tenth of a mile for a supermarket stop, for 53.8 miles.
This time that SoC consumption was ... 17%?!?
So that's an extrapolated 316-mile range, or 307 if the SoC consumption was really 17.4999%...
That 5% gain makes sense, since Porsche thinks that lift-off regen is less efficient.
(And that is turned off in Range mode.)
I can't recall any claims re the auto setting for lift-off regen, but given that the setting is essentially applying lift-off regen only when upcoming road conditions...
That would be great, but … those previously posted figures represent a 17% increase in range.
Do we really think Porsche can somehow unlock more range via an OTA update?
(Granted, Porsche did decrease the L2 charging speed by exactly that same percentage, but that’s just a simple imposition of...
After performing the update last night, this morning I went on a 53.7-mile roundtrip and used up 21% SoC.
So that's an extrapolated 256-mile range, at optimal temperatures but mainly suboptimal speeds (both too fast and too slow).
Efficiency was 2.9 mi/kWh, which implies total usable battery...
Agreed -- but they might very well prove their worth.
Our household's i4 M50 (now M60) definitely does not handle as well as our 4CT (with RAS & PTV+), but it is nevertheless *really* good ... and the initial reviews of the iX3 sound even better ...
... upgrade the reviewed iX3 50 xDrive model...
And where is Clyde pulling its data for both the numerators and denominators?
I suspect that any AI inquiry is just scouring the internet for summaries of only marginally reliable sources. Even if a reliable database existed for the actual resale prices, where is the database for what the...
^ Even in just that one excerpt, the whole point of Magic Dock (not “Magic”) stations is that you do NOT bring your own adapter. (The rest of the AI summary reads like a lazy culling of online forums, Facebook groups, and Reddit threads.)
If any U.S. buyer still has a hankering for a new Polestar 3 or 4 (feeling lucky?), cash purchases are now $25k off MSRP, with equally crazy leasing and financing deals.
Wow!
I rarely care or comment about car colors, but that is just absolutely stunning, love it!
And the best part (from my perspective at least), is that it's not some crazy flashy color, just ... gray, except somehow not just gray.
Yes -- I noticed this once I started using a massive metal Stanley when my daughter got into that trend.
(When I mentioned to a ski mountaineering partner how my daughter brings more water to school with her than we bring on daylong skiing tours, he reacted with, "Yes, those teenage girls now...
I looked the PlugShare reviews for this Ford station to see if any Taycans besides mine had charged there.
I couldn’t find any such reviews, but check out how the first sign of failure in November sounds like yours.
Then after awhile more stations fail until the entire station is inoperable...
Yes.
Although then the entire site was out of commission for a week or so.
Ford could force all the independently owned dealers to install charging stations but couldn’t force them to care.
(In a great compare/contrast coincidence, during the same closure period, the ski resort I was skinning...
Perhaps in the U.S., Polestar's current profitability and future prospects are too small for Geely to bother putting up a legal fight.
But for either Polestar or Volvo, Geely is ultimately deciding whether to fight, and with a market capitalization of ~$24.5b (USD equivalent), Geely is certainly...
