Solstice is really good. Right next to Greggs. Always manage to get a space there to charge. By the way we have 12 InstaVolt chargers at Bodmin and Ionity are building some in Bodmin too , both next to McDonalds. The Lifton superchargers just off the A30 between Bodmin and Exeter are great too -...
For those Taycan owners coming to Cornwall this summer you will be pleased to find 9 new Ionity chargers at Bodmin just after the A30 next to McDonalds. They are finishing installing them now! They are on Zapmap. If you fancy meeting up I am just nearby with my CT4S 2023.
Me too but six chargers can get full quickly, especially at weekends. Porsche in Exeter has two chargers but often in use or blocked by mechanics. If coming down A303 which is a shorter route than M4/M5 go for solstice services. On A30 nice cheap Tesla chargers we can use are at Lifton. Bodmin...
Charging my 4sct at 7p per kwh on Octopus means 220 ish miles in this spring for £7. Charge on the journey unless at Ionity or Porsche means 10 times more typically.
to be honest no one spends £100 k to get cheap fuel. My 4s is plenty, plenty fast enough and is better for my licence.
go for it!
Thanks everyone for your advice. I am 69 with 9+ years no claims living in Cornwall. I got a number of quotes for my 2023 ct 4s. Admiral platinum was £979 = 50% more than direct line last year. Saga was £2500 and taking the piss. So I went on compare the meerkat and ended up with top AA package...
I had a strange email from DirectLine today who say they are not going to renew my insurance this year. No reason was given and apart from a new windscreen I have had no claims. I am retired with more than nine years No claims. Any advice on insurers to try?
E63 = noise and stress
Taycan = peace, comfort, feeling relaxed after a long drive and even if you want to caress the E63 you will make sweet love to the Taycan
It was a fantastic day and the food was great. Take care with the launch control - after a couple of goes that food will be smeared on your backbone. Launch is now known as collywobbles in our house ( and I have never ever introduced it to my wife)😂
To the EV haters I would politely thank them for their feedback and let them know I would pass it on to a respected forum such as Tellsomeonewhogivesatoss.com
I would then ride off into the sunset knowing they would fail to catch up and with a Taycan grin on my face. After all what is more...
Octopus calculated that to be at 85% tomorrow by 0530 12 hr was needed. If I had been at a fuller state of charge it would start charging on plug in, pause for hours and then start. It’s a clever little bugger.
Today I was around 30% when I plugged in. The zappi is max 7kw single phase. I am drawing 4.5kw /hr right now. The picture of a previous charge where I started with a bigger unknown percentage was drawing at around 2.5 per hour. The main point is it is all cheap rate irrespective of time of day.
I am on octopus energy. I got home at 17:00 and plugged in. The octopus app automatically set a charging time of 17:00 to 05:30 as I had set I wanted 85% by 0530. As octopus is driving the charge I may think I am being charged the day rate from 1700 to 2330 but when I check my detailed bill for...
Every time I switch from using amazon music via car play to radio via music on pcm the previous track plays instead of the radio. Only way to fix it is to disable the phone connection. Any ideas?
