I got the "starting...3 minutes" message and opened the door, turning off the screens. I was also worried that it messed the installation up, but I exited, locked the door, and ~20 minutes later when I checked to see if it worked everything had installed correctly.

Obviously the dealership and Porsche would have reviewed the history of the car before CPO'ing it, so the fact that they pursued and then approved the CPO is a good sign. Porsche isn't going to approve a CPO if they have reason to believe that they're going to be spending big bucks for ongoing...

That's admirable. Assuming you're not 100% sure about accusing them, you could leave a good review based on the PPF install, but mention this concern at the top. Someone checking all reviews beforehand will keep a closer eye on their odometer when dropping off and it will give anyone else...
