It sounds like the GTS ticks the boxes in terms of options. If you can see the vehicle in person and the condition is “like new”, I think the GTS is the obvious choice. The only glaring downside to buying pre-owned is the annoyance of wear and tear caused by the previous owner(s) IMO.
Personally, I could not see myself buying a red car as my daily driver but the GTS looks stunning in Carmine Red. One of my local dealers had one as a demo. Pictures don’t do it justice.
Like you, I came from an Audi RS5 (2021 Sportback). I loved that car but needed to include it in a trade in towards any Taycan purchase. Also similar to you is that I was considering a BMW M car but in my case it was the M8 competition. And while I loved the M8, the design, handling, incredibly...
Great choice as the discounts on Turbos and even Turbo S variants are seemingly too hard to pass up when compared to new model. I bought my Turbo S as a CPO as well for $119K, price when new was $207k. I couldn’t imagine taking that kind of hit on depreciation. Congrats on the new ride!
Wow, this has to be one of the most unique Taycan builds I’ve ever seen. Looks amazing! Do you happen to have a social media page where you post updates to your car?
It’s a no from me. ? But I tend to favor simplicity when it comes to luxury vehicles. I don’t have any decals, stripes or extra logos on mine. I only have the model designation on the rear.
I couldn’t agree more with this. If performance is the most important factor to you, then the Turbo is the “sweet spot”. If cost is the most important, then the 4S will likely suit your needs. If cost/performance are equally important, then the GTS is the clear winner.
I think you may be analyzing this from the wrong angle/perspective. The reason I say that is because it seems that cost and buying CPO/used is far less of a concern to you than doing a special order. These factors are important because the cost between a nicely equipped 2020 Turbo or Turbo S and...
I like what BMW is doing in terms of ramping up their EV range and providing a number of “affordable” luxury EVs for those in the market for an electric vehicle. With that said, I don’t have any personal interest in the i5 or any others for that matter. I’m just not a fan of their design choices...
I was in the same boat as you when I first started looking at Used/CPO Taycan inventory. As others have mentioned, looking up the VIN using something like https://vinanalytics.com would be a great start. In order to better understand the options, I would also recommend building one yourself on...
I’m not as familiar with new Taycan inventory as I preferred to spec my own when buying new. However, I’ve monitored the CPO/used market for quite some time now and there are some very good deals to be had. Cars that were $160k+ 6 months ago are still sitting and are now being offered for around...
I actually just wrapped up a negotiation today. It was the third or fourth dealer I had spoken to since February. Most had viable options with different pros and cons to each potential purchase. What helped me was that I stayed patient and never acted out of desperation. I ended up putting a...
