Agree completely with the posters wanting more switches/knobs. (You can set the roller on the steering wheel to adjust volume).
I mean, who decided that switches/knobs were inferior to touch functions - ridiculous. Knobs for volume adjustment, temperature control, and VENTS! Also, make a...
I will definitely wait for the true 'next generation' car with new battery chemistry/solid state. I've got a 7 year, 100K mile warranty, so I will watch from the sidelines, and drive what I think is the most beautiful (maybe ever...) sedan on the road today for the next 4 years.
I can't...
Very interesting - I can see your point. My wife's Mercedes is an SUV, so no 'sporty' driving at all. I can see your point about the powertrain 'confusion', because we drive the SUV in electric pretty much all the time, but we can do that because there is never any 'performance driving'. With...
Really?? I have not driven one, but that is really a disappointment if what you say is true - not sure what you meant by 'old people's home'. I loved driving my Panamera GTS for 100K miles, and I figured the hybrid would be the same/improved but with hybrid capabilities... 🤔
Eerily similar to the earlier problems. Very sorry to hear, and I can relate...
Lots of experience and information on this post:

Great discussion with some very good points. The 'European experience' with charging stations evidently as common as gas stations will be difficult to reproduce here. I think it is similar to trains - incredible infrastructure in Europe, not so great here. I hope there will be a real...
I will probably be pilloried, drawn and quartered etc. for this post, but I'm revising my opinion on all-electric cars.
First of all, I love my Turbo S. It is the best car I've ever had, and it is probably the most beautiful car I will ever own. The performance is staggering, and it is a...
The dealer said no to the Weissach package because they can make one themselves by just removing the rear seats and a number of other 'unnecessary' extras...:CWL:
Just IMO - I think the beige looks great and the red/black is one of those WOW! interiors, but I'm afraid I would get tired of the volume after a year or so...😵
Get what?? I'm always in favor of good engineering, especially when it comes to cars. Removing a bunch of features and seats to reduce weight is not good engineering - it's just silly. I'm not going to reinforce this kind of ridiculousness.
I would agree with you when it comes to sports cars. Doing this to a four-door sedan is ridiculous. What’s next, a Weissach version of the Macan??
I wouldn't pay anything for this feature. I can't remember the last time I had to use full-throttle to pass a car. Anyone with a Turbo S think they need this??
As mentioned before, this looks like a revision designed by a committee. The first Taycan was designed based on the Mission E, and IMO is one of the most beautiful cars on the road - probably one of most beautiful 4 door ever designed. The new version looks like it was modified by some...
Why on earth would anyone take a 5,300 lb 4-door GT that is probably the best combination of performance and luxury of any car on earth, and strip it of all it's non-essential options to create a 5,000 lb track focused GT???
The Taycan is NOT a track car. It wasn't initially designed as one...
