e-shift

Do you guys think it is possible to retrofit the new e-shift onto existing cars? I can easily write off the UI updates, and I don't care about the new active sound. But as someone who still occasionally finds myself pulling the phantom paddles in the air, the e-shift is a real heartbreaker...
