“Data export” setting in PCM?

The other day I was looking through the settings in the PCM and I came across this “Data export” item. I can’t find any information about it in the manual or on this forum. Does anyone know what data this exports if you plug in a USB drive?

Is this not for exporting Sports Chrono (SC) or Track Precision data should you want it for another application?

I don't have SC or the Track Prexision option so can't check.

I don’t have either of those. I’m away from my car for the next few days so I can’t even try the data export to see what it does.

Porsche had these data exports for telemetry data since around 2012 models.

Ah ok - so perhaps it is car data after all - telemetry and that sort of thing. Worth a whirl I'd say.

Yes, I did but I couldn't even open the archive to see what was inside. It's a .daf file that I assume is a Telecompute Digital Anchor File. Here is a screenshot of the files that were exported.

I assume it has some sort of tracking data related to adaptive cruise control faults based on my internet research. Also, the Data Export menu is in the settings screens where all the driver assistance functions are.
