So I watched the video on 3 big mistakes for charging. The one I found interesting was better to do a lot of little charges than letting your battery drain and do bigger charges.

I’m not going to operate in the 40-60 percent range. Seems pointless. But my question is whether it’s better to do a bunch of little chargers from let’s say 60 - 85 (as recommended in manual) or let it drop down to the 20s or 30s before charging back to 85 percent? Is it fine for the the battery to always be in that higher charge state?
Your battery will be fine if left in the 70s-lower 80s for regular short periods but might just fare better if typically only in the upper 60s-70s as highest SoC. Obviously for longer storage periods (weeks) you should target mid-50s or even lower SoC as per manual etc.

The second vid def recommends frequent 'top-up' charges and a preferred SoC somewhere in 60s-70s for more optimal long term Soh preservation - this is what I am now doing - my driving stats entirely different now that I am retired but even then it would be no issue (as long as you have access to an at home EVSE) really to get in the habit of the 'top-up' strategy vs longer 20 to 85% charge sessions that I had been doing previously.

Again, the gross differences here are probably in reference to VERY long term battery degradation trends so for many I suspect it simply won't be that big of an issue. The exception might be as in my case for cars in very hot climates where we see greater Soh degradation rates.

Finally, with the 'top-up' strategy, once in a while (every couple months?) doing a 're-balancing' procedure as discussed here and elsewhere (e.g. drawing down to 10 or lower, followed by a 100% charge and very soon after back down to 20+ Soc and charge back to say ca 80) will invariably 'boost' i.e. rebalance the Soh by a couple/few percentage pts.

Ha, indeed, had considered it but the cost to retrofit/insulate the 18' high internal ceiling, detached building not worth it especially as we are actively considering a move to some pt. further north in next few years or less :) - that and flood control laws require us to have base wall open vents to allow flood waters free passage through the building (relieve/balance pressure) although there are 'automated' vent variants out there - would be nice to have now though!

Here is an interesting graphic - have other metrics I need to post e.g. rates of degradation per mile driven etc. but need to organize before sharing.

The good thing (unless you're in my group! :)) is that the majority of participating vehicles (close to 80%) are still above 90% Soh regardless of model year (2020-2024).

Not surprisingly the worst performers are again dominantly in Hot-Warm climate zones but a small measure of difference.

MY2024 Taycan RWD with battery plus option, < 1 year old (May 2023), from Belgium. Majority of charging happens on solar at home with a max rate of ~7 kW.

1) Delivery SOH: Unknown (in November SOH was 94.87 % with ODO around 12.000 km)
2) Current SOH: 93.09 %
3) Current Mileage: 9 974 mi (=16.051 km)
4) kWh DC fast: max 5%, probably less
5) Build date: May 2023, MY2024

Awesome stuff Ron - I think your car is King at the minute :) Only competitors are the Porsche marketing car and that not completely verified car from Slovenia. Will update shortly - and good balance having 20+% DC charging.
