From the doc:
"An investigative analysis to resolve this matter is in process. "

The TSB is asking the dealers to provide as many details as possible to help with the investigation. TSB applies to both 2020 and 2021 models.

This is probably proof that Porsche still has not found a solution yet.

Yes, read that. I also read the other disturbing motor failures for Taycan on the NHTSA site. A bit concerning.

I want to see the "attached questionnaire" - that would be illuminating.

The fact that they need a questionnaire instead of automated logging at the car and/or the app websevers is also puzzling...

The questionnaire embedded in the TSB is an Excel file, which we can't upload to this forum. Here's a PDF export of the Excel file.

That questionnaire seems to indicate they have absolutely no clue what the problem is? That is a bit concerning and would indicate that the car is not really connected. If that had been the case they would have all of that data OTA?

The questions are for the dealer to collect from the customer so it assumes the car is checked in. So why don't they plug in the car and collect all this info from the car logs to get what they need?
I have been working over a decade as a software engineer and I have never seen excel questionnaires being asked to users for debugging..

Interesting that the questionnaire doesn’t ask if the app was used to initiate charging timers/profiles. That’ll debunk a few theories I’ve seen swirling around in here :)

It is asking about charging profile and preheating and requires a photo of the settings (section 3). It also asks if Connect App was used (2nd page)

I find the following elements interesting:

1. steering wheel angle?
2. was the key near the vehicle?
3. cell network reception status?

these are very telling questions.

Which hypothesis would you deduce from those three questions?

I see it more as an area of focus rather than an hypothesis…key being near the car could keep something "awake" and drain the 12V battery…

no cell signal - car could be kept awake searching for cell signal that is never going to come…

I thought about that too. That might affect more those who park in underground garages.
And that makes me very nervous to take my Taycan on a trip to the the mountains and stay at a cabin if mobile coverage is bad.
