It's going to be very hard to beat the performance per dollar of the Model 3 Performance. Road and Track measured 0-60 time of 3.3 seconds, 0-100 in 8.6, and quarter mile of 11.8 seconds. This includes a 1 foot roll-out as most magazines include so a 4S should post pretty similar numbers when tested similarly. But it's hard to put a price on quality, fit and finish, and a car that actually looks really good. Model 3's are so common in LA, they're probably the most common car I see out on the road. And the car looks bulbous, so you'd have to settle with driving an appliance. The part that gets me with the 4S is price vs. performance is when you compare it to the Model 3 Performance and Model S.
If/when you ignore the badge/handling/interior/exterior looks the Tesla's are a lot stronger of an argument against the Taycan 4S when you start throwing around the more practical/affordable/"bang for the buck" terms. It is a very slippery slope from there to Tesla. Where do you draw the line for the premium Porsche side of things vs the practical side of Tesla like range, price, charging network, interior space etc.
