Is anyone hearing anything about 2021 Taycan's coming to the USA this month (Dec 2020)?

I thought I recall reading a post of someone commenting that 2021 models could not enter (or maybe placed into service?) before the first of the year. Mine exits Jacksonville on xmas day, and I hope to pick it up at PECATL on January 19th.

My information dates from early September but I was told then by my Porsche dealer that no MY2021 cars would be delivered in the US during 2020.

I was told the same in late September - my order is scheduled for deliver on 1/29/2021.

Smart move. I ordered early June (and got delivery mid-October) but did not know or was not told by the dealer that MY2021 could already be ordered then.

Wow - congratulations. I tried to get one ordered as early as June but my dealership did not receive any allocations until late July and no Turbo allocations (the model I wanted was a Turbo) until 8/31/2020 when I got mine - that has a late January 2021 delivery.

That was me and I was told that 2021 are not allowed to be sold in the US until 2021. I believe it is because of the $7500 Tax Savings as the Government doesn't want you to take it on your 2020 taxes. Better for those that lease as you get it taken off your lease pricing.

Not at all - I am in Austin, Texas. Out of curiosity - what part of the country are you in?

One other side note - when I was trying to get my Turbo allocation I was told by my dealer that California dealers tended to get the first allocations in the USA when there was a new model coming out.

I am in Somerset NJ with a 21 on order and hoping for a 20 delivery!

My guess is that some arrival dates are due to configuration choices. I was told my mid October Turbo S order would be moved from a January delivery to a February 12 delivery if I wanted the lightstrip with "PORSCHE" in black.
