Starting in 2021, the brakes have decreased in size and not as massive as before. Not sure if they are going back to the larger ones in 2022.
I agree 100% to get the mission E wheels that show off the calipers/rotors and save the $'s on the carbon wheels. I almost get more positive comments on my wheels than the car itself! I would also definitely go with the black calipers - the yellow draw your eyes away from the other far more interesting and beautiful lines of the car. You should definitely check out having the wheels painted to match the body color as well.

I'm not aware of the brake 'downsizing' that you mention. It appears to me that the brakes are the same size 420mm front, 410mm rear and have not changed. Do you have a link that describes this change?
