22kW onboard AC charger retrofit for MY20 - quoted cost

Recently checked with a London-based Porsche dealership and they want almost GBP 6k for retrofitting a 22kW onboard AC charger on my 4S MY20.

Sounds a bit excessive and am curious what others have been quoted, also from locations outside UK.

Compare that to the cost of the option in a new build, and consider the additional labor involved to open your Taycan up, dismantle the front electrics to swap out the OB charger vs. plopping it in on the assembly line…

$5.4k total cost for swap in US - $1.8k kit/parts cost the rest is labor - actual instructions not yet published to porsche service techs but they are coming - but yeah it can be done - but too much money

factory option is $1.68k so this is in line with expectations
