Ok, that's just painful to watch. A perfectly beautiful baby Taycan being trashed.

However, good on them for building a safe car!

Hmm...

In all honesty, I couldn't care less. This isn't a Volvo, it's a Porsche. I'm far more interested in how it handles and accelerates.

But good on Porsche I guess?

Its always a bonus to have extra. We are paying a premium for this car. This will justify some of the $$$ going to my car at least!

I definitely appreciate this. The Taycan will be my family's main car and my first child will be born this month. So it not being safe would be a problem to say the least. We do have a second car also but the Taycan does fit our small family so I expect it to be used for such purposes as well.

We are exactly on the same situation Singularity!
My first child will be born next month and it's really a great thing to see how the Taycan is safe and how it can stop automatically with these automated system.

By the way, you can see on the website of Ncap which baby seat is compatible with the Taycan.

On the website, they said this crash test applies for the 4S, Turbo & Turbo S.

Yeah, but I'd like the extra to be either in acceleration or - ideally - to be in lightness and cornering agility. Both areas in which the Taycan excels, true, but given that it's a Porsche, is there such a thing as a Porsche that handles too well, or is too light?

Notice all the test cars had the metal roof. I wonder how the panoramic roof would behave on side impact test.

I think it´s som type of plastic and laminate glas so I think it´s almost stronger than the metal roof.. I heard it´s seven layers of materials in the glas roof..
