I love it already. And I’m actually glad that the new headlight design is sticking. I was afraid the Taycan headlights would be the new fried egg design lights in a couple of years.

Of note:
  • 911 silhouette
  • looks bigger than previous 718 cayman
  • 911 GTS shark fins
  • front & back bumper are covers
  • taycan wheels
  • taycan j1.2 headlights
  • taycan mirrors
  • basically the whole bonet and front is copy+pasted from a taycan j1.2 + front bumper with shark fins from 911 gts
  • normal door handles
Probably more of a 2 Door Taycan than it is a sports car. I would pass on this. A technological breakthrough is required to achieve a different level of power/weight ratio. I’d be shocked if it didn’t drive great on the street but carrying 2/3 (or more) of the Taycan battery pack has consequences.

There will also be the high cost and subsequent depreciation to contend with. I would rather see Porsche invest in next gen tech for a Panamera/Taycan that trickles into their sports cars past 2030.

Looks like it's grown to a 911 size

Looks big. The MG Cyberster has shown a 2 seater EV can be small (though it still weighs 1900kg) so was hoping for something much smaller

I like the idea of a "Baby Taycan"
I can imagine that they won't release it until the performance is at least comparable to the ICE 718I I'm hoping that it will be available to order this year....shipping in 2026.

I like it. Especially if it has a hatch in the back. I don’t have any interest in a convertible. This would be the car for me.

Gorgeous.

I'm hoping for 150-200 miles of range, <=3,600#, RWD with at least 450 horsepower, and enough room for my work luggage in the hatch.

Fairly certain this render will be close to the final look. You can see the vertical intake slats behind the fake front bumper, and IMO it looks pretty sick. Only thing that can compare is the Caterham Project V coming in about a year from now, similar price point, worse build quality but 800lbs lighter

The vehicle youre looking for already exists, it's called the Taycan
That's why I have one ;)
Yet, I very rarely need the rear seats now. A smaller vehicle, a bit more nimble in the hills/Alps, would be nice.
But a change is not in the short run plan, Taycan it is for now indeed.
