I'll get in before the Teslerati of the forum- it's not quite as eye-catching as the record for the greatest altitude change OF an EV (Tesla Roadster, 200 million km.)
and, as expected, the Roadster needed help getting to that altitude since it doesn't even work.

sort of like the Nikola truck "operating" downhill or the 2016 Tesla full self driving coast to coast trip.

Let’s be honest - they had to cheat to get the cars up there. There is a section where it appears they took a diesel charging lorry to charge the cars because there was nowhere else to charge them. That hardly counts as getting all the way in an EV if you take an ICE vehicle along to allow you to do it. Otherwise looks like an amazing trip

I am not an electronic expert. But it could affect and causing many mechanical problems in such high altitude.

Ah that is a bit disappointing.. but I guess also the reality in such remote locations.

At a first read I missed this, but nowI see how they managed to write this up so positively worded :p

No mention of diesel burning charging trucks at all haha :)

Neh, Tesla holds that record. However, they fix it over the air while their customers are sleeping and the car is parked overnight (or whenever customer chooses to install the OTA update). In a decade of driving Teslas, there was a ton of "recalls", but only two of them required a visit to the service center (seatbelt anchor possibly not tightened properly - a technician visited my home and checked both our Teslas in the garage, found no issues; and a main infotainment ECU EMMC recall, that one I fixed myself before it became an official recall, but next time I was at the service center for something else, they swapped out the tegra-board of the MCU for free). Say what you will about Tesla, but their OTA capability is one of their main advantages over all other competitors today.

Wonder if they drove all the distance using only one set of tires? From pictures in the press material, it seems Michelin PS4 was in use at least at the final stage...

There are quite a few folks looking for a deal on a used Taycan. This one could be an option….although it may not qualify for CPO.
