Well done story all..it’s so easy to hit something in the road and that was a huge amount of damage. Let’s hope it was an exception.

Also, really sorry about your battery...fortunate that it didn't damage any body parts, and also fortunate the car didn't go up in flames from it.

One could say that Porsche did a pretty good putting safety measures in place to keep the battery safe.

BTW, 1. Porsche NA sent a special “Field team” from Germany to inspect the battery and coach Porsche Broward on repairs. 2. Porsche NA wanted extreme details on how and where the accident happened. 3. They drove out to the highway to find the part in the road that caused the damage. 4. They shipped the battery back to Germany to use it to improve future designs.

Wow! That's amazing!! Pretty impressive they actually went looking for the part.

I remember hearing about battery punctures in the early days of the Model S which resulted in titanium floor pans to protect it.
