A use for remote parking!

Returned to my car tonight and some utter knob jockey in a Range Rover had parked their car so close to my driver's side that I couldn't even get to open the door.

Chances of me, as a larger athlete, crawling into the driver's side from the passenger's are zero. So a few seconds of scratching my chin (and cursing the tool who parked like that) and I remembered I have remote parking.

Took a few seconds to fire up...drive the car forwards using my phone so the front door is clear...job done!

Love it. May never have to use it again, but it got me out of a hole (and saved a roll around when the Range Rover driver returned!).

I’ve had the same situation. Great use case for a feature that I do not use very often.

Lucky you. a year ago it didn't work for months. then some dog at porsche decided to fix the app. for me (2024 taycan CT turbo) since the last 3-4 months it has been working only 10% of the time. 90% says "parking manoeuvre cancelled" for no reason. but that is porsche sw...so no surprise.

So I can get it on my 2021? Any idea what the cost is?
I could see how this feature could come in handy. There is no way for me to climb in through the passenger side since I barely fit getting in the driver side. If it was a 2 door coupe it would be easier to get in with a bigger door.

I don’t believe there is any way to retrofit this into a car that is already built.
