The conclusion is a bit depressing. These reviewed recently have been ragging on the Electrify America charging costs with several mistakes. As we rolled our three whispering Porsche Taycans onto the field at the Werks Reunion, the big Porsche show before the Amelia Island Concours, some guy waved his hand at us in the universal signal to rev the engine. Then he laughed to himself at his own little joke.
- Never mention that the Taycan has 3 years of free charging in the USA and Canada.
- Don't use the +Plan which gets you 20% lower rates and waves the $1 session fee all for only $4 a month. If you charge for more than 10 minutes it is a cost saver. For my Chevy bolt it's worthwhile at 45 minutes. With it the costs are 26 cents per kilowatt-hour. This is 10 cents per kilowatt hour cheaper than Tesla even charges in California.
