Recall is done on my car, got no other details than that
Sponsored
This was done on my 2020 model last week.I got a two page letter from Porsche yesterday for what is now a mandatory safety recall.
Due to a parts shortage the letter advises the earliest this work can be done is after 27/6/22.
Now appears on My Porsche too.Got the letter yesterday. However will put off until after my trip as it involves removing both front seats and the foeman said they have not done any yet. He prefers to wait, as I need my car next week and he is unsure whether they have the parts required and how much time is necessary.
Anyway to get something from the dealership showing what they did to resolve this? This was done on my 2020 model last week.
Most likely parts availability causing a delay.Anyone have any additional info on this? How long can something like this sit as "Remedy not available yet"?
maybe at least similar:Has anyone heard of this recall? Car Fax claims my VIN needs this recall done.
Let’s hope this comes out to be true I just bought my 4s and they won’t release it until this is done, anyway you could ask your buddy for an update? The word from a tech buddy is that parts become available July 5th at PAG and then will be filtered down to the dealers. The delay is not the taping of the wires below the seat but the lack of bolts that secure the seat to the car. They are one time use only. Those replacement bolts are out of stock.
Where in my.porsche.com do you find this? I have looked everywhere and I certainly do not have any service details there. This was done on my 2020 model last week.
