Hi,
I wanna get Mission E wheels.
But It should include PSCB brake.

I heard it has noise issue on Cayenne. (Like cricket huh)
How is it on Taycan?
I’m worried about the noise issue with PSCB.

So I’m choosing between MIssion E + PSCB and 21’ Exclusive + essential Brake (Red Caliper)

Thanks.

Thanks for your reply.

How many km(miles) did you drive the taycan?
Fair question I suppose; unfortunately, only about 2.000km at the moment so I don't know what they'll do once there's some serious mileage on the clock.

I have them too and no noise as well in my experience. I've driven about 4,900 km so far.

All I can say is that I'm hearing nothing like this at all with the brakes on my Taycan. If I would hear this, I'd immediately take it back to the dealership.

I have 14,500 miles (23,335 km) on my car.
No noise from the PSC brakes.

Make sure that your dealer 'beds-in' the brakes. There should be no noise whatsoever.

Not apples to apples comparison though right? Taycan does not use calipers/rotors for all braking instances, only some use cases and percentage of time.

I've never heard a noise from our Taycan 4S PSCB system. We have almost 3,000 miles on our demo car.

That being said, I have heard noise on some Cayenne Turbo with the PSCB system. A lot of Porsche brake pads squeal/squeak. Just comes with the territory of having an amazing braking system.

I recommend taking some time to "bed-in" your brakes in the first couple of hundred miles. Also making sure you "use the brakes" from time to time. Go on a spirited drive and really get those calipers working once every few months and you should never have any brake squeal/squeak problems.

Exactly, the brakes (discs and pads) are very rarely used anyway

When our Porsche brakes start to make noise (2 PCCB + 1 steel), I find an empty freeway / exit or road, accelerate to >70 mph, and make a hard stop. Noise stops.
