Hi, thanks for your time on this forum. Question - is there any reason for the space between the front seats (under the consoles)? i understand it can be upgraded for a storage package - but what purpose does it serve without the upgrade? Any? Thanks again.
It is a style element from the 918. May be be structural, but that is a guess.

I will add that my wife LOVES that feature, as that is where she stores her purse. (Although that isn't what it's for!)

I won’t ever buy a fake anything, including side bits for keys. Don’t see why you would drive a lovely luxury car and have a shitty key to start it up. Please don’t buy that crud.

You are right. In retrospect not worth cheaping out when an original one is relatively cheap.

Porsche must love you.
My key side bits for £6.99 off ebay were pretty much the same as the ones at the dealer which were £110-£160! I took mine into Porsche Hull and compared.

Hi Luke, do you have a timeline when base Taycan (RWD or 4) will start to be sold in US, or never gonna happen here? Thanks.

Can I use either Carlinkit or Cplay2air to make apple CarPlay wireless in the Taycan turbo. If not, is there another option to make Apple CarPlay wireless?

Not sure about this. I'll see if I can find some answers.

I'm hoping for Spring of 2021. Car has been released in China so I think this will be the primary focus for some time.

I think if they open up allocations in Spring of 2021 then the cars would start delivering sometime in the Summer of 2021. That being said, I haven't heard anything official from Porsche yet.

struggled with the same thing....then realized its best to let Porsche handle anything brake related. Horror stories of 3rd parties not painting the calipers correctly and leading to major issues. Love the look....ties in with the other HGB parts.

Just had the

Just had the AC issue looked into, didnt affect my car, otherwise no recalls
Question for you.

When you plug in your car at home and leave it, do you turn it off with the power button OR do you hop out and lock it with the key fob OR do you just close the door and plug it in?

Hi Luke,

Is it possible for the dealerships to replace the steering wheel? My build came with the standard wheel, but now I want to change it to the version with the carbon fiber trim.I’m willing to pay, but just want to know if it’s possible or not . Thanks!
Yes, this should be possible. I actually don't think you'll need to replace the entire steering wheel. Just the central pieces around the buttons.

Still, don't be surprised by Porsche Parts sticker shock, probably going to be pretty expensive.

Thank you. It’s my thing. Nothing out that can hurt the ladies. Everything is enclosed in cabinets. Fortunate to have a couple stables for them and try to keep it as clean as a living room.
appreciate the compliments!

To be quite honest with you, I have not seen a car without the Storage Package yet because I haven't seen an order that hasn't had the Premium Package.

Not sure what it would look like without it, but probably something I would option on.
