Yes, they'll look smaller with 3 less pistons on them which is unfortunate.Get the discs are barley any different size wise. Are the callipers noticeable smaller? If they are smaller why can we not order the mission e wheels without spending the extra £££ on upgraded brakes! Doesn’t make sense to me? Not really expecting an answer, but views on visual differences appreciated.
I think there's 3 possible reasons for why you need those brakes with the 21' wheels.
1. Stopping distance. I think with the steel pads/rotors the stopping distance might not be what Porsche wanted it to be with those wheels on it.
2. Possibly something to do with range as I think both the PSCB and PCCB are lighter than the standard steel pads/rotors. The range is already reduced with the 21' wheels but maybe it was even worse with the standard brakes on it.
3. Because Porsche can. They know if you're someone who will pay $4k+ for a set of wheels, that you'll also pay $3k+ for brakes even if you have to option them on because you want the wheels.
Also the brakes could totally stay the same by the time the 2021 models start actually coming out. Porsche is known for making last minute changes to their configurations, so who actually knows if they'll go from 10-piston to 6-piston or not.
