Can I use either Carlinkit or Cplay2air to make apple CarPlay wireless in the Taycan turbo. If not, is there another option to make Apple CarPlay wireless?
Another user here has reported that they don't work with the Taycan. Your best bet is going to be to hope Porsche gets their act together and gets it working for the Taycan.

Question for you.

When you plug in your car at home and leave it, do you turn it off with the power button OR do you hop out and lock it with the key fob OR do you just close the door and plug it in?
Wondering this too. Just walking away seems to work, but I don’t know if something is being left on that shouldn’t be.

Apparently, something is draining the 12Volt battery. Has happened to 2 of my clients who left their vehicles on the charger for 2-4 days without driving them. All that is needed is to just jump start the 12V battery.

Wondering if possibly they are not pressing lock when walking away from the car, thus not fully turning off the car.

Could be wrong, but waiting to see what my technicians say is the resolve.

I actually hope they are really looking to get Wireless CarPlay right. We have Wireless CarPlay on our Audi, and it has one peculiar behavior that I would love to see fixed. Specifically, if you have two drivers, each of whom as a key, and they are both in the car (e.g., husband and wife), it is something of a lottery to figure out which person's phone is connected wirelessly. I tried simply deleting my iPhone from the wireless devices, hoping to be able to connect it via cable, but it reloads the iPhone as an eligible wired device once you plug it in.

So I hope that they have figured out a protocol for identifying the appropriate iPhone.

I find the wireless Apple CarPlay in the Cayenne and Macan to work really well. Pretty easy to swtich between phones as well.

That being said, I find that with wireless CarPlay a lot of people underestimate how quickly it will drain your battery - which is why I still prefer the Plug In method for using Apple CarPlay.

To be quite honest with you, I have not seen a car without the Storage Package yet because I haven't seen an order that hasn't had the Premium Package.

Not sure what it would look like without it, but probably something I would option on.
thanks.. here is a puc for your files..

thanks. Here is a pic for your files. Not a massive issue (1st world problem!). I have now simply bought a dash mat/tray to put in the space.

Oh wow, so it's like slick on the top. Can you place anything in there or does it just fly right off?

Did you order one like this to put down there?

Do you have info info, idea or thought on when Porsche will release their Function on Demand? Specifically the Active Lane Keeping - which I was told by my sales rep would be included in my set up. (but wasn't).

I have asked the connect support but got a generic reply.

Yes, this should be possible. I actually don't think you'll need to replace the entire steering wheel. Just the central pieces around the buttons.

Still, don't be surprised by Porsche Parts sticker shock, probably going to be pretty expensive.
Thanks for the feedback! Would you be able to help me find the part number if possible? I appreciate it

My wife’s F-150 allows us to register multiple Bluetooth phones and designate 1 (hers) as Primary. If we are both in the truck, it locks on to hers. Handy, dandy, nifty!

Not sure on this one. I would hope they'd have FOD options available for purchase no later than Q2 of 2021 but your guess is as good as mine.

You can do the same thing on the Taycan as well under the Device Manager screen!

Part number should be: 9J1419091APIA6

Not sure about the price. When we plug it into Porsche's system, it won't give us pricing for it.

It looks to be the entire steering wheel though. It also asks us questions about leather, race tex, club leather, sport chrono, innodrive, etc. Probably going to be pretty $$$$$$
