Hi Luke,
Do you guys know anything about the servicing on a Taycan yet - intervals and more importantly, expected costs? I'd like to think there's not that much to service, but I'm sure Porsche will find something expensive to change ;)
Servicing is only once every 2 Years OR every 20,000 miles.

We sell the Porsche Scheduled Maintenance Plan (PSMP +1) that covers the 2 Yr/20k service for $770.00. I expect most service costs on the Taycan to be between $500-$1500 at max.

Hope this helps!

Make sure that Online software updates are enabled in your Taycan, and in your MyPorsche account.

The OTA updates roll out I believe in terms of production. So the Taycan that were first delivered will receive the updates first.

Some vehicles that have already exited production/been delivered have already received the update so your vehicle might not need to be updated.
Thanks again Luke. . I still have the need to "scroll down" so if in fact one of the OTA updates corrected that and improved the layout, then I hope to hear (or see) more on that.

Our demo Taycan 4S just got the update on Saturday. I'll take a picture of the Home Screen so you can see it!

Our demo doesn't have InnoDrive so I can't comment on if this feels any different, but I've had 2 clients tell me the system feels more responsive and natural.

Huh. I certainly haven't seen this OTA happen...you'd like @louv would have seen it in terms of VIN/Delivery.

I like the sound of this update. Especially if it makes the pcm more responsive and Innodrive better. I find both to be okay, just okay, so improvements are welcome.

I have that option “on”. But I have not seen any notification of an OTA update.

I have the option "on" when I log into Porsche Connect, but is there something in the PCM that also needs to be "on" as well?

How do you know if this update has been applied? Does the version number change in the PCM?

After seeing Luke's response, I went out to tinker with the vehicle settings. I went into.........Settings..........Privacy and Porsche Connect settings......................List of all Porsche Connect services. I then scrolled down to "online PMC updates" and it showed deactivated but it was grey'd out and would not let me change the setting. I went back to the Porsche Connect website. Found the OTA setting and activated it. Went back to the car and the online PCM updates now shows active and it will let me toggle it on and off. Sounds like progress but wish someone knew how/when I can expect the OTA update to actually come across if in fact it improves the PCM layout as Luke mentions.

You are correct, this is the right pathway to go about getting this activated. You also want to make sure that your Private Mode is INACTIVE.

Here is what my Home Screen looks like now (not really a huge change):

Before, there was a fourth row of items that popped up below everything else, can't even remember what they were but it was only like 2-3 icons, very similar to how our passenger display still looks:

I think the reason for the change was to alleviate the need to scroll down at all on the home screen, and have all the icons accessible from there. I don't even really remember what they changed or moved, just noticed one day that everything was on one screen. Other than that, I have noticed the system is a little more responsive. Voice activation is quicker. And as I said I had 2 clients contact me about the update and told me that their InnoDrive system seems to be "working more seamlessly now."

Here's the software version our demo car is running. Not sure this is any different from prior software versions as I've never really looked at this page.

Like I said, I don't really keep up on the software updates. I used to when I worked for Tesla, but with Porsche they don't really release any software update notes to us, so I have no idea what they could/might not be doing in updates.

As far as the roll out on updates, just like your iPhone, Android, a Tesla, or anything else the updates don't just all show up on everyone's device in 1-day. Sometimes it takes weeks or even months to update all devices (just talk to any Android user that doesn't have a Pixel device).

Make sure Private Mode is INACTIVE on your Porsche Connect and Privacy Settings screen. Also double check List All Porsche Connect Services and then scroll down to the Online PMC Updates and make sure it is Active. It should activate after you do this online under Adapt Car Connect settings.

I also got a navigation update the other day as well. Haven't noticed any real updates to the navigation, but I'm sure it did something.
