Any plans for tow bar equipment for Taycan near future ? Or it’s not designed to tow anything.

Thanks
I think this might be something you would consider doing with a Cross Turismo not a beautiful sports car...

Of course! Here to help whenever I can.

I do believe the answer to that question is Yes, they did install the amplifier on all Taycan models regardless if you optioned the Sport Sound or not...

I don't know that for 100% fact, but I would assume it to be the case since you will be able to purchase the Electric Sport Sound as a Function on Demand (FOD) in the Porsche Connect Store.

Hope this helps! I'd add it on for sure, is one of my favorite features in the car.
I don’t think sport sound is amplification of YOUR vehicle. I think they amplified and tweaked a real car’s sound and use that as your sport sound. Think of it as an audio file played in conjunction with your throttle setting.

Actually during training we were told there is a small microphone in the rear motor that is taking those sounds it produces inside, synthesizing them (to sound like the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars) and then amplifying them into the cabin.

You'll even notice when driving with the Sport Sound on that it seems to follow what the actual motor seems to be doing, and not necessarily the throttle input.

Could be totally wrong, but I do believe there is an actual microphone in the rear motor that is picking up on some of the sounds!

Maybe for Cross Tourismo (although Panamera Cross Tourismo doesn't have this as an option so not sure).... Can't imagine a tow package on the current Taycan.

Look at a Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid! That'd do a better job towing anyways.

@LukeManning I was told by my dealer that, for Taycan, I can't use any wheels except those from Porsche. Otherwise, my warranty will be void. Is that true?

Did you buy the tire/wheel warranty? I mean, that only covers the stock wheels.

Otherwise, nah, you're completely fine to change wheels and it voids nothing. Now, if the aftermarket wheel specifically causes damage somehow of course the warranty won't cover it. But wheels can be swapped as you please. Warranties can only be voided if an aftermarket part specifically causes the damage, your warranty is never voided simply by adding an aftermarket item.

I haven't heard that.

Now that being said, the 3rd party company that we utilize for our Road Hazard Protection (MasterTech) does NOT offer their Road Hazard Protection for the Taycan. They have said that they have "yet to recognize it as an actual model from Porsche."

I have also heard this from other dealerships that offer other vehicle protection plans from other companies that they also do not provide coverage for the Taycan.

So with all that being said. Yes - We just offer Porsche Premium Tire and Wheel Protection on the Taycan.

Porsche's Tire and Wheel Protection is pretty good, but keep in mind there is a $50 deductible associated per occurrence (claim) for any tire or wheel damage.

So sorry I thought you were asking about the Tire and Wheel Protection plans that some dealerships offer.

Totally haven't heard anything about it voiding any sort of warranties to swap out wheels... Unless those wheels cause damage to something else (i.e. let's say the tires rub and it messes up the fender liner - that's on you).

We have a custom set of wheels on our Taycan Turbo on the showroom floor...

@LukeManning do you know if wireless Apply CarPlay is still coming via an update?
Still no updates from Porsche on this. Does not look like a listed feature on MY21' Taycan either so we shall wait and see.
