Summertime as mentioned in the launch but I don't think customer orders will be shipped until September. - but that's a guess.

So available to view at the dealership during the summer and I assume orders can be placed around then.

My dealership said that they had an allocation for a June build with delivery in July. However, this was for the regular Taycan 4 Cross Turismo. I was really hoping to enjoy this car around summer but it's looking like that's not the case :(

Sounds promising but I guess it depends on the definition of summer!

I would wait and get a MY22 build as it is I will wait for MY23 as I'm on a two year cycle.

Hi I just took delivery of my Taycan turbo with Sports Chrono in Brisbane Australia and the ride height is very high.

The only options available are lift and medium in the settings.
Setting the height two different modes does not change the stationary height of the vehicle.
When travelling above 100km/h in Range Mode the car does lower and the option Lower mode appears and then disappears when you slow down.
This is the same for all of the demo vehicles here that we have checked.
Every other region as well as the owners manual shows the four driving modes that should be able to be selected however they are missing.

Does it take time for the suspension to adjust? then these options become available? Has anyone come across this before?
Hi luke, do you or anyone at porsche have an explanation for this yet?

New 21 4S owner.

First question - interior ambient lighting - When will the color choices be expanded? Need Purple and Gold. :)
No word on this yet but I wouldn't hold out for it for too long! I think Porsche is going to be one of the last brands to give us 64+ colors to choose from. Agree with you though, wish there were more colors.

When will Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo allocations be given out? I'm waiting for my dealership to get one but they're not sure when it's coming. Any clues as to when they Cross Turismo Turbo is supposed to hit the floors in the US?
Allocations in Q2 or Q3 of 2021 with deliveries starting in Q4 of 2021 or Q1 of 2022. Will most likely be a MY22' model not a 2021.

Hey there! Sorry for the late reply.

I have not heard of this. There should be options for Regular, Low, Lift, etc.

I would bring it by your Porsche Service Center to see what's up. Could possibly be in a "shop" mode still.

Pretty sure this is an Australia thing. There are apparently limits on the amount a car can lower with air suspension.

I believe it is a stupid Australian rule even though the Tesla's don't comply but they don't seem to care as the height adjustment options are the same as globally.

For some reason Porsche will only allow LIFT and MEDIUM on the Taycan here so we are essentially sitting 22mm higher than what it was designed for.

Hi @Luke, I am being told by a dealer in Northern California that the Taycan configurator will be updated for 2022 builds in May 2021, and that allocations for the 2022 Turbo S will be available in June with delivery in Q4.

Is this accurate?

This sounds about right!

I would expect the dealership configurator for the MY22 Taycan to be accessible by this Summer so that we can start configuring inventory. The public configurator for MY22 Taycan will probably be accessible in Q4.

First vehicles to come will always be the Turbo S variants. Deliveries typically begin for the upcoming model year in December so I'd assume we'd likely see MY22 Taycan Turbo S in December, followed by Taycan 4S sometime in Q1 and then regular RWD Taycan in Q2.

Hope that helps!

This is interesting. I wonder if it is some design consideration given the varying road surfaces in Australia... Wonder what that means for the Cross Turismo??

Hi Luke

A forum member from Germany has said that the standard black plastic wheel arches on the Cross Turismo can be retrofitted with either colour coded arches or the glossy black from the Turbo S model
My U.K. dealer said it cannot be done (or maybe they don’t want to do it !)
What is the United States Porsche opinion on this ?
Can you ask your workshop guys ?

Thanks
Braveheart

My understanding of this is, you can order the arches)just like you would be able to order any part needed for the car) then you can have them resprayed to colour match the exterior at the dealership(again, like you would as if, let’s say you needed to replace a door or panel) I’m gonna assume that this would be a very expensive but straight forward endeavo.
I’m guessing your dealer is just talking without thinking.
Hope that makes sense.

Hi Luke,

I was wondering which motors are in the basic ct4. It has the same hp as the rwd, but motors both front and rear for 4wd. I Would guess that the basic ct4 has the same setup as the 4s version, but with hp limited in software.
do you know if the basic ct4 has the same physical motors as the 4s, or if they are modified somehow for reduced power?
