This upgrade is mentioned several times on the forum as an excellent plug-and-play option for the standard sound, adding the Audiotec Fischer Match amp and Subwoofer(s) to the standard Head unit and speakers via dedicated cabling adapter loom. With no cable cutting and 100% reversible, its an appealing prospect for those who didn't upgrade at the time of order, or who had their upgrade removed from build due to chip shortages.

For those who have not seen it, the Match series from Audiotec Fischer is specifically designed to facilitate OEM upgrades, and this is the Amp recommended for the Taycan:
https://www.audiotec-fischer.de/en/match/amplifiers/up-7dsp (MEC analogue version)
This is the adapter cable :
https://www.audiotec-fischer.de/en/match/adaptors-harnesses/pp-vag-2.6

there are a few questions im hoping someone who has done it can answer.
they are:
  1. Amp location?
  2. Amp power cable routing?
  3. Sub woofer choice?
  4. Sub woofer location?
  5. Sub woofer cable routing?
  6. DSP tuning?
If anyone here has undertaken this upgrade and can help with these questions, or have even perhaps produced a step-by -step guide, I'm sure there are many, including myself, who'd love to follow in their footsteps.

Taycan is an expensive car so I would approach a specialized shop to do the install. Costs more but most likely they won't break anything.

Honestly, I would be skeptical and cautious of even doing that. I mean seriously, how many Taycan audio upgrades would even the most experienced car audio specialist have installed considering that most Taycan owners opted for either the Bose or Burmester when they ordered the car? And since experience is everything and the electronics on the Taycan are undoubtedly fussy, that mod would make me really nervous.

I am getting the same UP 7DSP, because the Bose Problems, I have found a good Sound Expert here, so I let the Expert do the installation and DSP Tuning.

I have also wrote Audiotec regarding Subwoofer, they recommended to get 2 of these:

https://www.audiotec-fischer.de/helix/subwoofer/k-8w

2 of those Subs will be fitted under the trunk, where the Subs are located originally.

thats great - when do you plan to have the work done? I'm assuming your installer will need to build an enclosure to hold the subs in place?

and anyone tried it with the suggested helix subwoofer as well?

bump.

Was this upgrade carried out?

How did it go? Anyone else done this.

I have the base setup (no bose at time of order) and looking at what changes I can make to improve sound quality. Would appreciate any feedback from those that have upgraded.
