I am getting in an available 2020 Taycan Turbo S. Probably the last available Turbo S we will get here at Porsche Grapevine for some time.

isnt it harder selling these 20 models now that the 21 is announced and have features the 20 doesnt have? why would anyone pay more than $220K ($240K after tax) now for a car that is already outdated with tech such as active park assist and gps lift? sure you can get it immediately but thats a big itch to scratch for $240K

If it is a Turbo S or another model with ceramic brakes, you lose the 10 piston brakes on the 2021 models.

Whoa, I never actually caught that until you mentioned it. Interesting they would do that. Maybe to cut cost?

Maybe, though Porsche also cites savings in unsprung weight.

We've pretty much sold every single Taycan that we've gotten in - so no not too worried about them being hard to sell.

Especially given the fact that there are so few Turbo S allocations coming for next year.

I wouldn't really consider Active Park Assist and GPS Lift something that would make me think the car was outdated by any means.

I was only able to confirm that this was happening on the Porsche Surface Coated Brakes, going from 10-piston to 6-piston. I believe the Carbon Ceramic Brakes are still remaining 10-piston calipers.

You are correct. 24.2 lbs of unsprung weight savings with apparently the same stopping distance.

We just got in another Turbo S in Carmine Red, last Turbo/S we're going to be getting in until MY21' come in.
