I try to charge my phone while my husband is driving. They've never worked.

Just using a regular cable. Someone mentioned that it could be a blown fuse? The first time I tried using them we were at the point where we needed a charge--could that have been an issue? The other time I tried, we were using the "Range" setting as we were on a road trip--could that impede it as well?

The state of charge and the drive mode will have no impact on the USB ports. Check the fuse, the cable, etc.

Yes. Great success. My iphone 12 charges insanely fast using the rear ports. No possible interference with carplay, no cables damaged from console lid.

Tried mine today having read this post.
Standard USBc to USBc lead on Samsung Galaxy S21 displayed very fast charge.
