Battery Charging best practices to preserve battery life?

Does anybody have any solid guidance on the best way to charge the battery to preserve battery life. I usually or almost always charge at home about 8 kW per hour. I charge when the battery is about 30 to 40% overnight until it is 100%.

Do not charge it to 100% but to 80% unless you intend to drive off for a longer road trip within a couple of hours after charging.

Read the thread but the TLR; is best practice for longevity assuming it meets your range needs is shallow charges not in either extreme, so for example 70-30% range.
