When figuring out my range on a charge, I like to keep an eye on these three numbers:

- start percentage (example: 80%)
- end percentage (example: 12%)
- distance driven

The theoretical max range (100% down to 0%) would be:

distance / (start percentage - end percentage)

Example: if you start at 80% and drive 200 miles and then recharge at 10%, your theoretical max range would be:

200 / (.8 - .1) = 285 miles
Thanks.

It should keep getting better! Here's my charge to 100% today on my 2021 RWD with PBP:

This is after 1600 miles.
Wow! Are you using recuperation, or no? I drive in Normal most of the time, no recup.
I'm heavy footed from pretty much every stoplight.

I typically use Auto recup. The heavy footedness might be the difference. Also, I recently completed an 800-900 mile road trip in Range mode where I averaged very good consumption. I'm sure that helped average out my likely higher consumption when driving around town. My lifetime consumption is 312 Wh/mi:

That's excellent range.

@submatrix That is really interesting data. I have a 4s with the performance battery. Overall milage I'm fairly close to you, average speed is identical and my consumption is lower. However, my range is only 260 at 100%. It keeps getting lower each time I charge and I keep driving lighter and lighter to try and extend it. Maybe I need to get on it a bit???

I'm not exactly sure what Porsche's algorithm is but I believe the estimated range is based on your "recent" consumption.

That being said, note that your mileage is actually worse. 2.8 mi/kWh == .357 kWh/mi == 357 Wh/mi.

That is helpful, the higher the mi/kWh the better if I am understanding correctly? Which makes this more odd as I am driving more conservatively than ever.

Nobody told me there would be math on this forum! ?

Porsche Taycan Best Range Yet After 100% Charge 3E945565-768A-41F0-A1DA-F696BA2674C0

This is the best I’ve gotten so far. 4S with battery plus. At this point, i have about 10k miles on the car. That was also a range mode estimate just to see how far it could theoretically go.

Correct, the higher the mi/kWh the better. It's sort of like miles per gallon but in EV terms.

I think the best way to "gain" estimated range is to take a long flat road trip in good weather where you're going a constant speed. Driving around locally will have too many stops and decelerations/accelerations.

I don't trust the range display after charging. Example, on my Tesla Y the range on a 90% charge might be 285 miles, in reality I get maybe 210 miles. Tesla is notorious for over stating the range.

So, my question is: if the display shows 277 miles, what did you really get?
Usually just a little bit less, depending on my driving style, use case and weather.

I always charge to 100%. Unfortunately, the prediction is a little bit on the optimistic side, but overall excellent and cannot compare to T cars.

Are these all road trips, or were the "driven" amounts done over several days?

Regardless, great mileage compared to estimated range.

No road trips, this is all just regular "daily" local driving from mid Nov 2020 to Mid March this year. If I drive smooth and conservative, even with very hot weather and AC on, I can get this without sweating it...

Give it another 2k miles, before you get the full potential of the BMS and max range prediction.
