Did the scheduled 2 year brake fluid flush on the 2022 Taycan at my indy a few weeks ago and wow, the brake feel, especially blending, is so much better, smoother and firmer. I initially thought the improved feel was due to the car using the physical brakes more after the flush, as I read on here before but nope, still great after 1000+ miles and weeks later.

When I first purchased the car, I thought it was just a quirk that brake blending was so jarring. The brake pedal sunk more than I expected while transitioning to physical brakes which seemed odd to me, however, I just assumed since it was normal given it was only 1 year old and CPO. I saw a few older threads on here about brake feel, brake pedal sinking, requiring more effort, with varying mixed conclusions. After the flush, the physical brake transition is barely noticeable. Wish I had done this earlier!

I'm aware this is a "well, duh" confirmation in ICE cars but given the unique-ness of EV recuperation + brake blending thought I would share.

I recently turned down a brake fluid change at first service as the car is only 18 months old. Delighted to learn from my OPC yesterday that the ARB0 recall includes a full brake fluid change so I won't need to pay for one in December when the car is two years old 😀

Emmm, my dealer said that despite the campaign, I’ll still need to pay for the brake fluid change (I have a service due) as only part of the fluid is lost. I think I’ll need to argue with them about that

By coincidence the campaign fix was done at the same time as my 2 year service. I was initially charged for the brake fluid change but the service agent called (without being prompted) a couple of days later to arrange a credit as the work was covered under the warranty fix. For once a thumbs up for Porsche customer service.
The improvement in brake feel was immense. I hadn’t really appreciated how bad it had become - you just adapt to the degradation in feel.

I had the campaign done to flush the lines and change the fluid back in Jan/Feb. The symptoms were the pedal going long when coming to a standstill...a couple of times the car felt like it wasn't going to stop.

The flush made things better, but still not perfect IMO. The pedal still wasn't as good as I'd expect a sportscar to be, and not as good as my old 911. And I've recently started to sense longer travel again.

I received the brake line recall today, so will see what that yields.

I had exactly the same experience- I suspect more than just a flush was done- either they’ve learned to bleed the system properly or the regen engagement has been recalibrated to give a more natural experience.- maybe both. Whatever it was, it worked
