brand new Taycan Turbo - creases on seat bolster ok?

I just had my handover of my new Taycan Turbo (will post some pictures in another thread).
Just before I left (the car is staying for the detailer to collect), I noticed creases on the outside of the driver's seat base bolster:

I asked my sales guy about it and he brushed over it and said "yeah, they all do that". I don't think so myself. My Merc has 25K miles on it and doesn't look like that.
What do you guys think - do I need to kick up a fuss about this or is it normal? Particularly interested to hear @LukeManning 's take on this.
Absolutely not right at collection date, it should be perfect.
Mine has a small bit of deformation since I've clambered over it to get in & out.... I think it is very dependant on your size, weight, flexibility..

The only way that has happened is that someone has sat on it at the dealership as it wouldn't leave the inspection stage of the build with that.

They do crease but not until someone has sat in it a few times and definitely not like that, if the sales guy doesn’t rectify to as new with no creases I would escalate to dealer principal. Which dealership is this ?
Silverstone.
We were told by 3 members of staff separately on handover day that we’d get a customer service questionnaire in a few weeks and if we were going to score less than than 10 for any question we should call them first.
It wasn’t looking good for them even before this!

That questionnaire is a big deal to dealerships. It affects their allocations. Have you threatened to score them poorly? That should give you some leverage.

The questionnaire is part of an ongoing customer survey that actually determines the bonuses that all employees will receive. You need to be really careful about this, because you could be hurting some very good folks. I tend to take things like this up directly with the GM. Follow it up with an email to Porsche if you're not satisfied.

Well, bonuses should be earned. If you’re not satisfied with their service... But you don’t have to actually give a poor review, the threat will hopefully be enough.

Steve,

While some creasing is normal on the leather seats, that looks a little excessive to me.

I would reach back out to your dealership and see if they might be able to have a look at that - or submit a warranty claim of some sort to Porsche.

Dealer has had their leather guy take a look and this is the result:

haven’t seen it in real life but it certainly looks much better in the photo than it did originally.

Finally got the car back after being detailed and the seat doesn't really look any different in person than it did originally. I think the dealer's photo (above) was quite flattering - mine, not so much:

Back to the dealer again, I guess. I'm not expecting much in the way of a response and suspect I'll have to escalate it past my sale guy.

Yah think you’ll need a new seat. Or just accept it and move on try to enjoy the car for what it is. Kind of depends how ocd you are. Kind of like the first wheel scrape or rock chip in the windshield. Car won’t stay perfect forever if you are going to enjoy it

It's really difficult - I'd be p:ssed if I got my car in that condition, but, to be honest, there's a decent chance the seat bolsters will crease-up eventually - my driver's side doesn't look much different (I have black seats though so less noticeable). Now I have no idea whether it was like that on delivery, but I noticed it after sitting half-in/half-out of the car about a week into buying the car and suddenly realising that I was probably putting a lot of pressure on the bolster. I just think those side bolsters are pretty fragile on the 18-way seats, and no, my individual weight does not exceed the maximum load on the sticker.

I would see if your dealership would be willing to file a warranty claim with Porsche.

If you have documentation that the seat looked like this on delivery day, they should be able to send this to Porsche and possible get a seat repair out of it as a gesture of good faith.

That car most probably has been demo vehicle. Many car seats look the same or worse after 10 days of motorshow event for example... And hundreds of visitors...

That explains why our car deliveries are always so delayed! They’re showing them at car shows!!

After my success with getting a replacement rear camera I thought my luck might be in - but no, the warranty claim has been rejected by Porsche. Apparently that's normal and expected for leather which is a natural product.
Considering my options now, I think my wife fancies taking the fight to Porsche GB!
