Hi, I am thinking of getting a Taycan and have been doing quite a bit of research in terms of how big the storage space is. I am attaching some relevant pictures I found, but the key question is - can I fit 2 large check in luggage bags in the trunk?

Also, does it make a difference if I go for the Standard or Bose sound system? Does Bose eat up the space below the trunk (where cables go) or does it lower the height of the trunk?

Here are the only pictures I found:

Thanks a lot!

Depends on definition of ‘large’. Rear seats fold which may give you some options. Suggest looking at the Porsche luggage set available for the Taycan and that might help you decide. Overall it is not an enormous space but is generally usable.

The Bose sub is not visible and so the floor is flat so I don’t think this would be a limiting factor.

Best idea is to go to a dealer with your case(s) and try it out.

As said it all depends on what you mean by large.

I have made some pictures last year where I put our regular air t4avel kit into the Taycan
The trunk takes two check in bags and at least one cabin bag. And the trunk carried the PMCC as well as another cabin bag.

I have Bose, and I can at least confirm that I can get two sets of golf clubs in the trunk with room for shoes and other smaller items. So I suspect that what you are speaking of would fit.

With seats up - no. Maybe 1 - opening is quite narrow and bootlid intrudes a lot due to the active rearspoiler.

bose makes no difference in this regard

go with soft bags ;)

Thanks a lot for this!

Do you happen to have (rough) measurements of the bags?

And does anyone know if chosing the Bose audio system over the Standard audio system means that the area I have cirlced in blue below becomes unusable (as subwoofer goes there) or the subwoofer actually goes at the top (highglighted in red below), effectively reducing the trunk height, as someone suggested in the forum?

There is a void beneath that space and is normally where you'd store your public charging cable. Very useful space and not used by Bose.

I have BOSE and the area that you have drawn has a small cubby area underneath the panel. I'll go take some photos in about an hour.

I have the Bose system in my car, so what you see is available. I will go and measure the roller bags.

So my roller bags are roughly ( the wheels may be protruding a bit on top of this )
Large check in
72 cm 28 inch
47 cm 18.5 inch
26 cm 10.5 inch

Medium check in
64 cm 25 inch
41 cm 16 inch
25 cm 10 inch

Cabin bag
54 cm 21 inch
38 cm 15 inch
20 cm 8 inch. .

I did not pack them to be round as a football but they fit quite easily. We also hve a cooler back in the trunk connected to the 12 volt outlet. Not a hard one but soft. Fits very easily.

As you can see we can also put some soft items on either side.

The reason I use this set is that they fit into each other so when not in use, it is just one bag for the three to store! And these bags have millions of air miles from flying around the world a few times. ?
